Perfect finish and good parallelism
Perfect finish as well as parallelism I checked it with my Mitutoyo 0.01 dial indicator and a Starret Grade AA stone and I found no errors I am very happy with the micro vice I use it on a Sainsmart Genmitsu 3020 Pro Max - 300W Spindle despite having only 1 "I can hold small pieces of aluminum to improve my machine, it would be very good if the manufacturer produced vise like this with other sizes, 2" 3" and 4"

Really neat little vise
Excellent design, but requires thoughtful handling while tightening. The mechanism inside to select which position you’re tightening from (based on the size of your work piece) is very tiny and can easily rotate inside the vise to a useless angle. It seems a bit short, but little can be done about that… it is what it is. After working with this vise for a few minutes your fingertips will develop a sense for when the ratcheting piece is properly placed in one of its notch sets and you simply have to maintain pressure from underneath to keep it where it belongs as you tighten the moving jaw with the Allen wrench. The moving jaw is a fraction of a millimeter narrower than the overall body (26 mm) of the vise so that you can loosen it when the small vise is being held by a larger one. There are built-in parallels for mounting small objects and the overall height of the thing is just right to clear the tops of my two inch vises. Wonderful design, really.

Nice little vise!
Really handy for small part, jaws and flat areas are .0002”ish..Works well for me!

It is what it says it is.
It is as described. Not much else to say. I checked it with a interapid dial indicator on a surface plate and the surfaces are coplanar. I have already ground some small pieces on it and it works fine.

Quality mini toolmaker's vise for the money
I am a Tool and Diemaker by trade and needed to replace other mini grinding vise which was poorly made. This vise does what I need it to do and it seems to hold fairly well and accurately. I would recommend it to someone who needed one of these without spending a hundred dollars more. The vise comes in a basic plastic ribbed, splitting case similar to what an endmill would come in.

4/10ths Wide?
This vise is very versatile. Despite the cumbersome locking mechanism.Vise width is exactly 1.00" wide x 2.575" longI like the build-in parallels, too.I would give it a 5-Star rating, but the screw hold can be a ...

Precise vise
Used this vise over and over. It's precision and good quality. Won't be using it often since I changed jobs and won't be working with small details for dies. Still a solid vise. Should come in handy when I have to key in punches to grind flats in smaller shank sized punches.
