Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it! Works great and is fun for her to play with. Its easy setup allows her to do it herself! The kinetic sand is not sticky or too messy. Great fun for her and myself!

My kids are kinetic sand crazy, so this was a no brainer for me to buy. But I opened up this and couldn't put it together right away, because I over though it. I then watched the video on amazon and it showed me to line the purple piece above the blue tray, line it up to the slots and push down. It is incredibly easy and if it isn't , you are probably over thinking it too. The kids do love this toy and I had over an hour this morning with two happy little girls playing ice cream parlour while I drank my coffee in peace. Update: The kids enjoy this toy, but from a parental perspective I would not buy this if I could go back in time. It is very fun, but it encourages the sand to move away from the sand table. We play with our sand table every day, this is the first toy that has led to so much additional clean up and sand loss. It's sad to see $20+ worth of sand end up in the lawn. Still love the concept, but less so the practice.

This is such a fun sensory friendly toy. Both my autistic son and niece absolutely love it and will spend forever playing with it. Highly recommend. FYI sand will get all over the place if you don’t have a container to put it in. It would be an awesome activity to do outside.

Gift for my niece

First off, we love the original Kinetic Sand! My kids will play with it for hours and I think it's easier to clean up over playdoh because it's stickier and clumps more. However, I am pretty bummed about this ice cream maker. The kinetic sand (while it is the same name brand), is not the exact same. It is thinner, less clumpy and sticky. It's also now mixed in with all our original sand which thinned it out as well. Cool idea but I found the original brown sand worked better for making ice cream cones and holds up for a long time. I haven't tried the other colored kinetic sand by the bag, so I'm not sure if those have better consistency like the original.

Funktioniert alles super. Meine Tochter (4 Jahre) spielt stundenlang damit. Das drücken ist durch den Sand etwas schwer, aber meine Tochter schafft es trotzdem und ist auch nicht genervt davon. Der Sand lässt sich auch super wieder weg putzen bzw. weg saugen. Wir haben eine gepolsterte Eckbank und auch da ist es kein Problem den bunten Sand wieder komplett zu entfernen.

The product had been opened before (tape opened). One of the pieces (scraper for making the sprinkles) was missing. Also packaging.. there was none. Just an adreslabel on the productbox. So no surprise gifting….
