This unit, just like all my other Inkbird units, works great! I have other thermometers I use for various purposes and the results match up with my bigger brand-name instant-read unit, so I've got full confidence that the temps I'm getting are accurate. The newer probes are really nice with the included silicone sleeves at the elbow, which make it much easier to insert and remove, and even in use they're obviously cooler than bare metal (still, use caution!). I picked up this thermometer to replace another unit that's a few years old now and started to read temps incorrectly. First off, this thermometer isn't actually made for smoking for long periods, so I'm going to transition this to being used for quicker cooks and mostly indoors, which it should excel at (i.e. cooking multiple steaks at one time for parties!). It's also designed to sit on a flat surface - there's padded rubber feet on it to keep it from slipping, but there's no magnet so it can't be mounted to vertical surfaces. Some things to know up front: The probes included with this thermometer are for food only. There's no air/ambient temp probe included. However - I can confirm that the probes from other similar units (for sure the IBT-4XS) work just fine with this as well, so I've got several extra probes already, including an air temp probe to monitor the smoker temperature. Overall - I have full confidence in my Inkbird thermometers. You'd be hard pressed to find a better value, and if you check my other reviews, you can see I use several of their products and all have worked great, so I'll continue to be a customer!

Inkbird IDT-34c-B BBQ Thermometer Base Thermometer - the unit is well made and sturdy. The backside has a slot for hanging on the wall if you wish. The screen is easy to read and can dsiaply all four probe temps at once. It also has a backlight for easy reading at night. Temp Probes - the unit comes with four color-coded temp probes with insulated handles. It also includes two probe clips to help hold them in place. App - the thermometer easily connected to the Inbird app via Bluetooth 5.1. All the information you need for your cook is displayed clearly, including current temp, set temp, timers, alarms and a temp graph. Easily set the color for each temp to the matching probe. Additional app settings include changing between C and F, manual calibration of the probes if needed and alarm intervals. Temp alarms (both on the base and in the app) alert you when your food is ready. Real World Experience - in testing I found the thermometer easy to set up, intuitive to use and accurate. I was able to maintain a connection from my phone to the thermometer from about 90-100 feet which was plenty far enough to monitor my backyard grill from inside the house. I would definitely recommend this one if you are looking for a feature-rich wireless meat thermometer at a great price point.

Works really good. You can hood it up to your phone with Bluetooth and watch the temp from inside when you’re smoking something. Good price

When I first unboxed the unit, I noticed how different it was to my older Inkbird Bluetooth thermometer. The new probes have a nice grip and the braided wire covering is much thicker. I downloaded the latest version of the Inkbird app and connected it to the thermometer with no issues. I wasver pleased to find calibration settings in this version of the app, although testing showed this unit was properly calibrated. I decided to test it out with a rack of Baby Back ribs. I set up one probe to monitor the temperature of my smoker and the other one for the ribs. At first I was connected to my Android phone but every 10 or 15 minutes the Bluetooth would disconnect. That's been an issue with that particular phone, so I decided to connect it to my work iPhone. The iPhone stayed connected and I had no issues for the rest of the cook. Overall, I liked the user interface, being able to see all 4 probes at the same time was a nice upgrade. I'd recommend this to someone who doesn't have a wireless thermometer.

Used this to smoke a pork tenderloin tonight. The grate mount is awesome for monitoring ambient heat, and all four probes can double as air temp sensors (unlike other models that come with three meat probes and an air temp sensor). The unit arrived with batteries in the box, so I could use it right away. Setup was easy, and there is a QR code that takes you directly to the Inkbird app in the appropriate App Store. I love that the display shows the temps for all four sensors simultaneously! No waiting for it to scroll, or pushing buttons to cycle through. The app is easy to use, and comes with options for preset doneness as well as manual settings. The rubber on the probes handled the grill heat and flames very well. The picture of the two probes on a towel is from after cooking for about an hour. I love this unit, and look forward to using it often!
