Lakanto Simple Flavoring Syrup (Caramel, 16.5 Fl Oz (Pack of 1))

It’s great but limited flavors. Caramel and vanilla are probably the most common, but I want to see a multitude of flavors so that when we serve coffee to our guests, it’s healthy and flavorful (and fun)! My artist eye would also like more excited packaging. Overall I’m so happy there’s a tasty option over refined sugar-laden syrups!

I have been using this as my go-to for my morning coffee since it became available. It has a great flavor and really works. I have seen a few reviews that call it an "Artificial Sweetener" It is NOT artificial. It is made from monk fruit and is a natural sweetener. There are other syrups available that are artificial, but they contain aspartame and such which have been sown to have links to Alzheimer's and dementia. I choose to go with the natural sweetener in this Lakanto product, you should as well.

Fill disclosure: I enjoy other products by this company. Their sugar substitute is a staple in my pantry and their mactha powder is amazing. This on the other hand...not so much. I'm trying to cut the last bit of sugar from my morning coffee and decided to try a combination of this and some half and half. Be aware that this is not a 'syrup' as much as it's a sauce, it's very runny so you have to be careful when pouring. My initial impression is that there's not a lot of caramel flavor there, and this has a strange aftertaste, something I haven't experienced with their other products. It was bad enough that I ended up tossing that coffee and just starting over. I'm still giving 3 starts because the company reached out and offered a full refund. That in itself speaks volumes about how much they care about the satisfaction of their customers. If you're on the fence about trying this, get it. You literally have nothing to lose. With that said, once their vanilla syrup becomes available in Amazon, I'll be sure to give it a try.

It’s ok. Doesn’t sweeten my coffee which is a good thing. Has a slight chemical aftertaste. I got it hoping for a good caramel flavor so I’m disappointed that I don’t really taste that. I’ll use it all up but I won’t buy this flavor again.

I bought the caramel flavor to use in my coffee to get away from other sugar substitutes. It took me awhile to spend >$10 for a small bottle but I figured why not since monk fruit is better for us. Nope. Nope. No flavor at all. I do not taste any caramel at all. None. In fact, the regular monk fruit was a no go also. It didn’t give me the sweet taste I desire. I’ve been using it since I can’t return it….. I will search how to make my own.

I've tried both name brand competitors, both of which taste like chemicals. These syrups are by far the best I've tried. Very sweet and a strong carmel/vanilla flavor. And no chemical taste! Well worth the price.

Was looking for decent sugar -free caramel syrup, this is not it! The initial taste puts the artificial sweetener flavor front forward with a metallic fake caramel finish. Not ruining my Macchiato!

I have been using this syrup for the past couple years and have never gotten a bad batch or an aftertaste, etc. I use it everyday in my Bulletproof coffee and it is AMAZING. I don't know where all the bad reviews are coming from unless they all received their orders from a bad batch which is highly unlikely so I dunno. I LOVE this product!!! I ran out and tried another company and it was ok but not nearly as good as the Lakanto brand.
