I keep buying this Maybelline Lifter Plumping Gloss on repeat because it really delivers! It gives lips a noticeably fuller, plumper appearance without the intense burning or uncomfortable stinging I've experienced with other plumping glosses. There is a very slight tingling sensation, but it is completely tolerable for me. At 62, I've noticed my lips have gotten a little thinner over the years, and I really feel like this helps make them appear more full. The glossy finish also helps them look more plump and defined. The color Hot Chili is my favorite! I have a fair-to-medium complexion and it compliments my skin beautifully, but I can see it working well on a wide variety of skin tones. It's also surprisingly moisturizing and leaves my lips feeling soft and hydrated, rather than sticky or dry. I can go about half a day before I need to reapply. The combination of plumping, color, and shine makes this my go-to lip product. The fact I keep buying it over and over says a lot!

I’ve tried a LOT of plumpers in my day and when I saw that Maybelline released a plumping Lifter gloss I had to try it because their Lifter glosses are SO good. In reading the reviews for this product I was a little nervous because I hate glosses that burn BURN like hellfire. I’m pretty sensitive and I’ve tossed many products after a first try. Because I love this line so much I decided to give it a shot anyway even though reviews about how intense it is scared me. I bought the peach color. The texture of the gloss itself is different to that of the regular lifter gloss. It’s a bit thinner has bit more of a slip with a less lacquer effect. It’s still shiny don’t get me wrong but it’s different. The sensation builds and doesn’t happen immediately, but working a good 10 minutes of application my lips were full on tingly. By 20’minutes, my lips were noticeably fuller without the irritation ring that a lot of plumbers produce. In fact, I didn’t see a noticeable difference in the color except for the color of the gloss. I found the “burn”’to be quite tolerable and not at all uncomfortable. You do get that little bit of essence of chili on the inside of the mouth but it doesn’t feel any spicier that putting chili flake on your pizza (which I always do). From the reviews I was expecting the worst but it was totally fine. This coming from an Irish person that can only tolerate moderate to medium spice and hates plumbers that make my lips feel like I pressed them against an iron. Quite honestly this is mild compared others that I’ve tried but the kicker is that it actually works. At 40 after being a smoker all through my 20’s, my top lip has lost a lot of its volume and my bottom isn’t as full as it once was. I especially have issues with the sides of my top lip which are starting to turn downward. I will get filler eventually but I’ve never come across a product that not only did I tolerate but actually did inflate those problem areas noticeably within a few minutes and didn’t leave my lips looking like I just kissed poison ivy. I’m super impressed. This lip plumper is a home run for me. It works much better that higher end ones I’ve tried at a fraction of the cost and the tingle/burn whatever you want to call it was probably the most bearable that I’ve tried in a very long time. I’m actually going to buy two others colors after I post this review.

I bought one to try, and I was so impressed with the color, shine, plumping effect, and affordable price that I ended up buying more. The plumping effect is excellent. I have naturally small lips with deep lip lines. It doesn’t completely erase my deeper lines, but it smooths out a lot of them and makes my lips look noticeably fuller. I expected an intense burning sensation, but it feels more cooling and minty than painfully spicy for me, and I actually enjoy the sensation. It also has a light minty toothpaste-like scent that I don’t mind. That said, everyone’s tolerance is different. I didn’t think much of it until my husband kissed me and immediately regretted it. If you’re sensitive to spicy foods, you might find it much more intense than I do. I now own mauve bite, red flag, and peach fever, and honestly, all three shades are beautiful. The shades are sheer enough to layer over lipstick or lip tint, but still have enough color to wear beautifully on their own for a natural “my lips but better” look. The shine is beautiful, and the texture is smooth, making it easy to apply. The applicator is nice and dispenses just the right amount of product for one application. My only minor complaint is the tube. It feels a little bulky for the amount of product, and looks a bit cheap in my opinion. Overall, it’s one of the best lip plumpers I’ve tried, especially for the price. I highly recommend it and will definitely be buying more colors.

Wow! So this is an actually really strong plumper! I had been wearing the Too Faced plumper since I was teen and that’s a cake walk compared to this. I don’t mind the stinging but for people who have never used a plumper gloss before, do not engage it’s pretty intense. The only reason I can’t give it five stars is because the shade isn’t really opaque and pigmented which was a bit disappointing. But if you just want something cheap to plump up your lips, give this a purchase.

First, I'd like to mention that the color and consistency is super nice. The glosses have an identical texture to the Fenty ones. The plumping works!! They are pretty spicy though. If you get some in your mouth you will definitely notice. The burning/tingling is not unbearable, but it could be way too intense for some people. You can definitely feel it and it dulls a bit after about 10 minutes, but for me it doesn't go away. With that being said, I have sensitive skin and eczema, and this did not irritate my skin or cause any redness around my mouth. With the plumping being from chili pepper, I think it is a safer bet than other plumping ingredients. Pros: - Very nice, buttery gloss - Nice variety of colors, they may look similar in the tube but they're not identical - Plumping effect works & works fast - Lips stay plumped even after wiping it off - Chili pepper makes for a reliable plumping agent - Colors are opaque but easy to get off Cons: - Very very spicy. Definitely tastes like chili pepper - If your skin is super sensitive, it might be irritating due to the spice - The sensation doesn't really go away much even after wearing it for awhile - Not good for those who don't tolerate spice well - As with any gloss, they're not stainproof. It will transfer while eating or if your lips touch your skin Overall, I would recommend these, but keep in mind your sensitivity to spice and your skin's tolerance for plumping products.

I bought the color “Cocoa Zing” and I think it actually reads as more of a mauve-y pink on my pale skin; not what I expected, but it is pretty. I think it also turned my lips more pink after a few moments because of the burn. There’s definitely a noticeable plumping effect right away from the irritation. I actually purchased this because it contains Maxi-Lip as an ingredient and is much more affordable than the Lawless lipgloss. However, the burn is actually a bit much for me and it seems to persist for a long time. I do like the color and the gloss formula is nice and not tacky. I wish they had a non-burning formula with the maxi-lip ingredient for more day to day use. My big qualm with this is the packaging, though it may be a seller specific issue- they put a huge, very sticky label on the side of the gloss and it comes away in flakes so it is very annoying. The container would otherwise be fine.

Love it! The tingling is not intense - but I would definitely wash it off before kissing someone or anything similar. ;) The plumping effect is noticeable but NOT hilariously overdone. Perfect amount, to me. I specifically wanted enough plumping for my lips to look like they did when I was 20, but NOT so much that I looked like I'd 'had work done' or like I was having an allergic reaction! Texture: It is a bit thick, but you can still apply other lipstick over top if you want a different color. I'll probably order other colors. :)

This is my go to lip plumper. I absolutely love it and buy it about once a month. That’s how much I use it. It is amazing. It does have some pepper in it so so it does feel the tingle but not too much to work it just wanna burn your lips off. I think it gives it a nice plump. I love it makes my lips feel. It keeps some moisturized and I applied all day long. I would say wearing it several times a day every day one tub will last me approximately 30 days. I have even tried City lips which is like $30 for a tube and I do not even think that city lips has a candle to this lip plumper it is it’s absolutely amazing. Give it a try.

Lo compre más que nada por que quería sentir el picor y no me falló, pero pinta muy bonito y dura un par de horas a menos de que hagas muchas interacciones con la boca. En cuanto al plump, pues yo siento que deja los labios igual de grandes y bonitos que su versión lifter gloss, no veo que haga maravillas pero si quedan lindos. El producto llego rápido y muy bien sellado.

Me gustó mucho este brillo. Le da volumen a los labios. Se siente un picor pero es leve y tolerable. Los tonos están lindos.

This is the spiciest lip plumper I’ve used, especially for a drugstore brand. It does plump up the lips, although not as much as some videos claimed. The spiciness goes away after a while so that’s when I reapply. I love the colour but once the heat kicks in, my lips turn a reddish/orange colour and that shade takes over, so it’s not really the “mauve/pink” shade I was hoping for (this is the case with all lip plumpers for me unfortunately, unless it’s a dark colour). If you’re looking for a lip plumper, I would recommend this over higher priced ones (Buxom) because it does the same thing!

気付いたら3本目。痛過ぎないプランプ感で、邪魔にならない色味だし、ズバ抜けて良いとかでもないんだけど、なんだかんだ使い勝手よくて、無くなると買ってる。唇も荒れない。素顔メイクの時はこれだけで素の唇を少しふっくらさせても良いし、ベースに塗ってから他のリップ塗っても、邪魔にならない色味だから使いやすい。地味に良い商品だなと思ってる。
