Just what I hoped for ...
I received my pair of white 10 pound Cap competition bumper plates today. Delivered on time. At just over a dollar a pound, they're a good buy for me. I already have 25 and 45 pound bumpers ... I just needed a couple of extra10s, and these were cheaper than a pair of basic iron 10s I was considering. They do not smell. They are not greasy or oily -- they arrived dry and clean. There were no metal shavings or other debris in the package. The white rubber has some very slight discolorations in it (don't care), but is not chipped or scratched. The center is nicely machined, smooth metal. For potential buyers who may not be familiar with bumper plates, a couple of observations:- These are skinny 10 pound bumpers, so they flex easily, as do all 10 pound bumpers - cheap or expensive. I will not be using these alone on the bar.- And yes, bumper plates are all the same diameter regardless of weight - some reviewers seemed to think that's a problem.- And, also normal, they do not have much of a lip to grip, as some iron plates do. They certainly do not have handholds cut into them. Again ... this is normal for bumpers. Thanks Cap!

Great Products Every Time
Solid construction. They did arrive a little greasy which makes things a little awkward to use for a bit, but they're a worthwhile purchase. I've purchased several different weights and even dumbbells and a barbell from this company. Highly recommended.

Excellent weights for budget-conscious gyms
I was looking for a weight set and decided on bumper plates as I liked the added floor protection and not having to worry about rust. I was on a budget so cost was a concern. I found a set listed as "Amazon's Choice" containing two each 10/15/25/35/45 for $400 plus $65 shipping and was going to buy it before finding these CAP weights. Even though I had to buy them separately (not as a set in a single purchase) I wound up saving more than $200 ($465 for the set vs $245 for the equivalent CAP weights). By itself that's a solid win for me.As far as the weights themselves go I have no real complaints. Their posted weights are accurate to under a third of an ounce. There's a polished steel ring at the center which allows for easy carrying and slides easily and smoothly onto a 2" Olympic-diameter bar. Their design is simple and basic but that's fine; why do my weights need to have flashy colors or patterns on them? The different weights are different colors making identification quick and easy. The weights did initially have a strong "new tire" smell which is to be expected, but the worst of it dissipated pretty quickly and after maybe a week or so the odor completely dissipated. Paired with a 5' CAP solid bar I've got a compact, budget-friendly weight system to work with for a long time coming.

Tight Weight Variance, Excellent Value
I ordered two Cap 45 competition plates and they both weighed in at 45.6 lbs which is just over a 1% variance. Rogue color echo plates (guaranteed less than 1% variance) are twice the price of these. I think they're an excellent value particularly viewed next to name brands. Hopefully they hold up over time - if I have any quality issues with them, I'll come back and update.Update 1 - after using them for a few weeks I've made the following observations. They're super bouncy compared to Rogue echos I've used at commercial gyms. I would say they bounce a solid 4-6 inches when dropped from weight height. I also noticed that the steel collar in the middle of the weight is very snug on the barbell - especially compared to the iron plates I have that make a lot of noise and have a lot of play. I'm very pleased with them especially after I noticed how snug they fit on the bar.

good value for the price
Overall these are really good weight plates for the price and we bought two sets of each weight. The price for rubber weights is really good. There are however, 2 issues that you should be aware of when buying these, and neither are deal breakers.First: if you are buying the 25 or 35lb weights, just be aware that there are no holes in these weights that allow you to grab and carry these one handed, which is a bit annoying because you have a very small lip that you can grab onto, but if you're tired from lifting, it is possible/probable that you could drop these, so just be aware. Not an issue for us because we are really just lifting from a holder peg to our smith machine a foot away, but it is a bit annoying.Second: When you first get these, they are COVERED in oil and that has to be washed off. First, because it smells and second, they are very slippery which exacerbates the issue I outlined above with very little grip space. So when you receive these, take them directly to the kitchen, run hot water and apply a LOT of Dawn dishwashing soap to a scrubbing pad and go to town to remove all the oil that is coating these plates. I think they are packed with an oil on them so that they fare better while stored in a warehouse, but you don't want that in your gym. Also they are filthy when they arrive, so cleaning them really well just makes sense. So if those aren't deal breakers for you then I can highly recommend.

Bumper plates shipped to your door for cheap
Rubber is a bit stinky and oily. But a pair of 45 lb 'PRO' bumper plates was barely more than a $1.25 per lb, shipped. I tried finding something local because I didnt want some poor dude hauling these weights to my door, but everything was double to triple in price. Good value, we'll see how they hold up.

Nice quality weight at an affordable price point. Smoothly and durable. We live in a very humid environment and have seen no pitting or rusting. Recommend
