Hi - thanks for your message. Post mount refers to the way the caliper attaches to the frame or fork. Most modern forks accept post mount brakes; frames (rear brake) can be either IS or Post Mount - but brakes are nearly always post mount and you use adapters to attach the brake. Yes they have new pads already fitted in them. Those brakes are exactly the same so you fit to front of back of bike if your bike is compatible to take them.

Can be used, but is not very light disc brake like the Hayes
