It’s heavy
I was hoping for a nice light spade for planting and digging. It’s v heavy. I would have sent it back but I needed a spade. I shall buy a lighter one when I can get to the shops and test it. I’m sure it will last as it is v sturdy

I love my new spade. Always bought spear and Jackson from a young age. Great quality. The size is great. Slightly heavier than I expected but that’s the quality your getting. Chopped through the soil with ease which made the garden job’s much easier and quicker. Definitely worth every penny.

Good spade
I got this for general use around the garden, although it's first job has been to dig out holes for new fence posts. My house is over 120 years old, so there have been a lot of posts put in over the years and you can hit concrete or hidden rocks at any time. The spade has no issues with them, it just takes the vibrations in its stride (PS I have broken lots of spades and forks in this garden over the years). I've really pleased with it and happy to recommend.
