Sun JoeSPX-UQC Universal Brass/Aluminum Pressure Washer Garden Hose Quick-Connect Kit

Work well and seem durable, but one of the female fittings is very tight.

Because I read reviews that the in-the-box garden hose connector leaks badly, I ordered the Sun Joe SPX-UQC Universal Brass/Aluminum Pressure Washer Garden Hose Quick-Connect Kit when I ordered the Sun Joe SPX201E 1350 Max PSI 1.45 GPM 10-Amp Electric Pressure Washer. For assembly, I tried to follow the directions of other users who found that the quick-connector will not fit on the pressure washer without modification. So I pushed out the metal screen in the black portion of the quick-connector and put it back in the opposite way. This did allow for a connection to the washer but it leaked like a sieve. I found that the metal screen was preventing its hose gasket from seating. There is probably a way to solve that problem, maybe separating the screen from its gasket, but I didn’t go that route. I removed the metal screen with gasket and simply replaced it all with one of the hose gaskets from the garden hose connector (described as the garden hose adapter) that came with the pressure washer. I’m using tap water which does not need filtering anyway. I didn’t bother with Teflon tape on threads or adding other gaskets. Works like a charm, no leaks.

This adapter is way better than the leaky thing that comes with the unit. The quick connect is an amazing bonus in addition to the main reason for it, to stop the leaking.Major kudos to Review Mark Jan 11 2018 for advising that the screen inside needs to be either turned around or removed (I removed it and replaced with the washer from the original piece) and then it works like a charm. Otherwise the pressure washer can't get any water, which can be quite bad on the unit if you don't know to do that.

When i purchased my pressure washer, the garden hose connector was loose and leaking right away.This easy connection is by far better and durable. I would recommend purchasing it even if your pressure washer isn't leaking. The quick connect is a must!

I got a sunjoe pressure washer and the hose fitting it came with didn't work. I couldn't use it because the hose would only screw in a couple of turns and no farther. I was upset but then saw this quick connect fitting and wondered if that would fix my issues. I ordered and received it. It cured my bad hose connection and I can now use my pressure washer.
