Much more comfortable than a metal or bone thumb ring AND ADJUSTABLE!
For a great price this is a quality piece of workmanship. The spring lock is easily replaced if need be. With a 45# draw weight both my Chinese war bow and the Samick "Mind 50" are perfect for the softer leather thumb ring. Adding the lessons for usage on YouTube's Asian Bow - Thumb Ring Draw sites give great examples for release. I prefer the "index finger down straight with the other three fingers not part of the tension draw" style for smoother flights.

Not helpful
This does a good job of protecting my thumb pad from the string gliding past it during release. But it actually seems to cause more pain to the part of thumb that’s pulling back and holding the string than if I didn’t have it on at all.The way the thin leather rubs and presses against my skin under the weight of the string can get pretty painful after only a few shots.Main upside is not having to bother with sizing my thumb for a thumb ring and dealing with that whole process. But I’ve found that I really don’t enjoy shooting with this thumb tab. And it’s probably bad for me trying to develop proper form.

Not bad!
Honestly if you don’t know how to do leather work it’s worth it however if your like me and lazy then this will do a fine job!

Comfortable thumb ring.
I bought both a brass thumb ring and this leather ring. I shoot well with both but this leather thumb ring let me feel and sense the string better and it did feel more natural. The elastic string along with the string lock lets you adjust the snugness to your thumb.

Not for thinner hands
It's ok, it protects your thumb but for me it didn't tighten down enough. It felt constricted but kept flying off my thumb every 3-4 shots. If you've got thicker hands this will probably be fine but if you're a size medium glove and below I'd avoid this.

Effective protection for thumb shooting.
Fits securely on the thumb and provides adequate protection for a thumb draw and release. It is soft leather, so it will hurt a bit if you are not accustomed to thumb shooting. Regardless, it is superior to an unprotected thumb and more convenient (and adjustable) than a solid fitted thumb ring.

Feels cheap
Cheap n flimsy, in hindsight I wouldn't pay more that like $1.50.

Rather thin leather
You will be fine up to 25-30 LB draw. Also the string adjustment feel weird when you get to your anchor point on the side of your face.
