1 Gbps anywhere in the home, easy to setup, it’s worth it to me
I have a three-story condo, and my previous single router always had weak Wi-Fi on the upper and lower floors. After switching to the Deco BE63, I now get my full 1 Gbps Wi-Fi throughout the entire house with excellent signal strength anywhere. It also has a nice IoT mode where it makes a separate WiFi for smart plugs and devices. I had previous routers that also did this but some were still very difficult to connect to. This one works perfectly first try, to me this makes it even more worth it. Setup was simple, performance has been excellent, and I’m very happy with this purchase. Highly recommended.

Solid mesh system, especially for the price
I purchased this to replace my 6E TP-Link since I was having some drop issues, but it turns out it wasn't my router. I decided to keep these anyway since I switched to a 1GB connection and wanted the headroom. The system was easy to set up and configure using the TP-Link app. It took a couple of attempts to get the two mesh nodes set up with the base station, but overall it was quite easy. In use the system is rock solid and fast. I have a 2300 square foot two story house with the base unit downstairs in the den, one node across the house, and another upstairs. Both nodes attach using a wireless backhaul and have a full strong signal even at distance. The system has now been running for 3 months straight without a glitch or reboot needed. I highly recommend thys system.

INFERIOR RUBBISH TERRIBLE TECH SUPPORT - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON TP-LINK
Final Update 2-May-2025: Okay I have grown to hate this mesh system and I seriously don't see myself purchasing another TP-Link device ever again! I suspected that the price point was good to be true and I was 100% correct. This mesh system is a hot mess and a great compilation of "unstability". It is constantly dropping connections to the Internet (it's not the ISP as they equipment remains up and running when the TP-Link is experiencing problems). This in no way compares to some of the other brands. This was supposed to be an upgrade from my two node Asus Wi-Fi 6E mesh system but now I see that was in a completely different class to this piece of junk.. Further Update: The tech support finally admitted that it was a FW issue and released a beta FW for me to upload manually and check. After successfully flashing the FW with the beta version the mesh remained up for me to confirm the new FW and that it was pushed to all three nodes. I then tried activating the VPN and encountered the same problem. I was able to deactivate the VPN but it brought my entire network is down as none of my clients remained connected to the WiFi for longer than a minute or two and they couldn't access the internet. This experience calls to question if the beta FW they gave me was properly tested suggesting that there is a lack of a proper quality assurance process. Fortunately I have a technical background so I was able to download and revert to a prior FW version, disable auto update and restore my network and get the VPN working again. I will try to exchange this mesh system but rest assured I never want to see the name TP-Link ever again!! This was truly an atrocious experience and am appalled that companies actually treat their customers in this manner and still expect to be in business.. Update after 1 month: This has to be one if the absolutely worst purchases I have ever made!! This excuse for a mesh system spends more time down than up. The VPN via my NORD subscription simply stopped working and the techs wasted my time troubleshooting when it is obvious that the issue is the router and not NORD itself as the same config works in the OpenVPN client for Windows. Every day I wake up I discover yet another reason to dislike this piece of junk.. I WILL NEVER BUY TP-LINK AGAIN AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM!! ========================= Original Review: Pros: 1. Setup is very intuitive (great App). 2. Great performance in terms of speed (wired/wireless backhaul). Cons: 1. iOT network is pointless as it's on the same VLAN (false sense of security). 2. The Guess network is pointless as it's on the same VLAN (false sense of security). 3. You cannot isolate devices on the guest network. 4. The VLAN option is tied to IPTV functionality (extremely poor design for a solution at this price point). 5. Extremely limited feature set overall 6. Not very stable and specific clients can periodically fail to connect for whatever reason until the device is rebooted. You get the feeling that it's a beta product because these same devices work fine on other routers.. At the end of the day this is a residential device! This is not a corporate or soho classified device. There is no basic firewall, there is no comprehensive DHCP reservation functionality, etc. If you are looking for a robust, secure and feature rich solution look elsewhere - this is NOT the solution.. Also, all of a sudden, the VPN no longer works with no change in configuration. Support was useless as he kept telling me that the issue was with Nord and hence never really listened.. Meanwhile the exact same config file works on an Asus router with no issues.. I cannot recommend this mesh set. It's simply not a quality product!

Quality, customization, security: A+!
I could not be more happy with my Deco 7 router. It was very easy to set up and I love all the features and monitoring capabilities of the app. The multiple bands helps me keeop my iot traffic separate from my secure personal browsing. our entire property is blanketed in strong and stable wifi coverage now, I can even remain connected to our wifi at the neighbors house next door! I have yet to find something I dislike about the router!

BE63 - Great Product...But Migration Issues.
TLDR: The Deco 7 Pro BE63 product itself is fantastic (so far). The migration process (to replace my old Deco x20 mesh) in the phone app is a fiasco. My previous mesh environment consisted of main Deco x20 WiFi 6 and 2 satellite x20's. I had 50 persistent device WiFi connections, streamed only HD video, and everything worked flawlessly. I know I was pushing the limit as the main Deco x20 almost always showed 100% CPU utilization and sometimes upwards of 90% memory used. But everything worked with no issues. Then... Due to intermittent subpar performance from remote bedroom location, my son decided to run a 50 ft ethernet cable from the bedroom, through the hallway, to my office where the main Deco was located and connect whatever device at the time to it. Worked great for him, but seeing exposed cable irritated the @#$% out of me. So, since my home is not wired with ethernet, but is for cable TV (coax) in every room, I decided to install MoCA adapters where required to hardwire connect the 2 Deco x20 satellite routers to the main Deco x20 through my "coax network". Now that the satellite routers were hard-wired, connecting to any one of the 3 Deco's resulted in blazing bandwidth (my ISP provides 500Mbps download, and I achieved that regardless of which router I connected to. As I later learned, every "hop" over WiFi to get to main Deco router results in significant loss of bandwidth. Now every device was entitled to maximum bandwidth over WiFi (or ethernet connected into a router) regardless of location. But... 1) After implementing MoCA, the main Deco router would intermittently reboot. This was even before the satellites (or any other devices) were connected to the MoCA network. No other changes, just enabling MoCA. I presumed that whatever basic chatter was happening on the MoCA network, combined with already running at capacity on the main X20 was pushing it over the limit. At Google AI's suggestions, I tried turning many features of the mesh network (Qos, Fast Roaming, Beamforming, etc...) to reduce possible workloads, but to no avail. Connecting devices to the MoCA network, including the satellites, didn't change the frequency of the intermittent reboots, for better or worse. 2) Then I also found out that subscribing to 4k streaming over one of my HD streaming services was only $8 more annually (on yearly subscription) than standard streaming (on monthly subscription), so I upgraded to that. Now the router reboot frequency significantly increased, especially when I was watching a 4k movie. Time to upgrade to WiFi 7, which can simultaneously handle more devices than WiFi 6, more channel frequencies, higher bandwidth capabilities, etc. I stayed with Deco environment due to satisfaction with 4-year old X20 system and settled on this Deco BE11000 (BE63) system (make sure the HW version is the latest, there are some older versions still out there). I got the 3-pack for the increasing discount per device (turns out it's like buy 2 get 1 free), even though I really only intended to replace the main Deco x20 (the satellites only had to handle devices connected to them, whereas the main ultimately handles all devices). Now the fiasco... I decided to use the "Replace Main Deco" option when introducing the new BE63 unit into my mesh network. Sounds simple enough. Basically connect new BE63 to old x20 with provided ethernet cable, and the software will transfer the configuration from x20 to the BE63, make the BE63 the "main" router, and downgrade thex20 to a "satellite" router. It did no such thing. It failed numerous times in the process at different "percentage completed" values, and I'd restart as prescribed by the software. The last restart I'd tried seemed to get to about tp 84% completed and failed. After this attempt, both Deco's were now inaccessible. Also, during this time, my network was down. Ugh. I don't know if my case is a "one-off", or this is a common issue. I didn't call for support. Usually TP-Link process works just fine for me. Now the "saving grace"... I decided then to just unplug the old x20, reset the new BE63, and install it as a new network all over. To my delight, it asked if I wanted restore a prior config backup (from the cloud) to the BE63 rather than manually reconfigure it from scratch. I said "yes" and it successfully configured the BE63 with the latest backup. It was almost 100% restored, one thing that didn't come back was some blocked devices entries I had put in. Anyways, it came up fine and all my devices began connecting to it. I had to go to the 2 x20 satellites and reset them in order for them to come back into the mesh network, and they then started accepting connections. Lastly, with 50 devices connected, I started 2 4k streaming sessions and let them run for 2 hours. On main Deco (BE63) ...no reboots. No performance issues. CPU% rarely got above 30-40%, memory around 40%. Everything is screaming. I don't know if I'm going to add the remaining 2 BE63's to my mesh network just yet (either replace old x20's or net add new). Seems like I should find a better or more noble use for them. So...Deco BE63 (main), Deco x20 (2, satellites connected through MoCA). All good now.

Easy to install and well worth the upgrade worth the cost
I previously had an Orbi mesh system that was about 3 years old and end of life (no longer receiving software updates). Both my husband and I work from home on opposite sides of the house from the Wi-Fi router (2400 sq ft home). Throughout the day, my Wi-Fi kept dropping, and I had to quickly disconnect and reconnect. This obviously happened at the most inconvenient time. I did considerable research on the best option to replace our older system. Based on the reviews here and in the industry, I decided to invest in the Deco. It was incredibly easy to install. It was as easy as unplugging the old Orbi, plugging in the new Deco, doing some minor configuration in the app for the main router, and plugging in the satellites. I was able to set it up with the old SSID and password, so none of my devices already connected to the Wifi needed to be updated. The Deco app is much better than the Orbi. I can easily see the signal strength for each satellite and which of my devices are connected to each one. I can test my internet upload/download speeds in the app and compare them to historical data to troubleshoot with my ISP. I am no longer dropping my internet throughout the day. The Deco has been a solid investment, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to expand their WiFi strength throughout their home.

Very good investment
I purchased the TP-Link Deco 7 Pro BE63 to replace a 5 year old NETGEAR Nighthawk MR80 mesh system. After a month of using the DECO 7, I am very satisfied. The speed and reliability are outstanding. Setup was very easy using the TP-Link app and mesh system control is easily managed through the app. The system can accommodate WiFi 7 devices and has multiple bands from 2.4 - 6 GHz. Security is top notch, although a separate company and fee is necessary if you want a VPN. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the purchase.

Awesome
Love these things. I set these up as a mesh system for the ground floor, which doesn't have any router signal. Just connect one of them by Ethernet, then let the rest repeat off of that. You'll get great coverage for the entire ground floor. Also, setup is super easy as TP-Link has a great app for this. Thinking of buying another pack just to extend coverage even more.
