Works well on my 8 and 12 inch tibetan bowls, even for making them sing. Also sounds good on a 20 inch cymbal simulating a gong.

Even though these small rubber mallets are for Crystal Singing Bowls, I find that they work really well for tapping smaller Himalayan metal bowls. On small Himalayan metal bowls, 5" to 8", a felt striker does not bring out as much depth of sound and too much force is needed, almost knocking the small bowls over (5 - 6" ) And wood striker is too harsh sounding. (I NEVER hit the sides of metal bowls with a wood striker) The small rubber head mallet brings out a very nice ringing sound.

They work great on my crystal bowl. It makes it so much easier to bring out the sound of pure delight.

I love the rubber base for the singing bowls. It keeps them secured and not moving. Also when going around my bowls the sounds are clear and the rubber is of very good quality.

Good for hitting the bowls, but too sticky (for me) to pull around and make them sing
