How to separate the cylinder from the old seat mechanism? I try to pull it very hard. But it won't budge.

Make sure you have the chair still all assembled...DO NOT take the seat mechanism off the chair. You must get a pipe wrench(like a plumber uses) make sure you adjust the wrench to have a good tight grip on just the cylinder. Have someone hold the chair steady as you turn the wrench about one half turn...this should free the cylinder enough to pull it and the wheels off of the base tilt mechanism. Then just take off the old mechanism and replace with the new one. Simply lift the chair and slide it on the cykinder and wheels...it will attach easily...and your chair will be ready...and safe to use. Best of luck.

I'm wondering if this item will fit the Homall gaming chairs.

I measured the screws on the bottom of the old chair and compared it to the distance mentioned in the Amazon website for the product. When you purchase the chair mechanism replacement you need to be sure the wholes in the product is the same as the one on the chair it is to be installed on. Different mechanisms have different wholes the screws fit into. You can always find one your size if the MySet does not match up with your chair.

it is designed to be universal , 2 sets hole templates. may have to drill pilots but should work.

How much can this tilt back?

You can lean way back. I have an attoman that I put my feet on and can go to sleep with the chair release pulled out so the back will come down. It does not go all the way down, that would be scary. It's up just enough to make you feel safe and cozy. I love this item. The last one on a chair I had broke because the weld came lose. This item is much bigger and much stronger. Even if your chair wears out years from now, pull the mysit tilt mechanism out and you can put it on another chair if you want to make it extra sturdy.
