It comes 90% assembled. All you have to do is unfold, and place a few rods in a few holes. Works great. We bought 2 to catch oppossums that got in the house.The trapping mechanism wasn't quite sensitive enough for the small opposum. We tied a piece of twine to the lever and pulled on it when one of the little ones went in and it worked.So, great for bigger opposums, not quite sensitive enough for smaller ones. Great product though. Rasy to set up, and easy to open to release the animals.

Setting up the Trap was a little awkward because the instructions suck. But once I figured it out it's very simple and easy to use. I would say the thickness of wire and the rigidity of the cage is a bit subpar. It would be easily acceptable for small animals like squirrels or cats but if you are trying to trap anything raccoon size or larger you would need to buy something much more heavy duty. My other complaint is the quick release function of the back of the Trap puts your fingers and arms away for quite a long time before you manage to actually open it. I do appreciate the sheet metal covering around the handles to prevent the animals from clawing me. But I would not recommend this trap for transportation. I use this trap to trap straight cats to bring them to the shelter. It was very effective but transporting them was a bit sketchy due to the location of the handle and the problematic quick release back door is not very quick. Need something easier to release the back door so fingers don't get bit and clawed off. I suppose if you were trapping an animal you just planned on shooting right away this trap would be just fine.

The cage helped me catch alot of different animals

Upon receive trap the trap door was bent and had to be manipulated in order for it to operate correctly it’s very poorly constructed piece of trap everything in it is cheap including the metal rods that drop the trap door. After using my knowledge I repaired the trap seems how I was denied refund from the company, they asked for pictures and we’re going to give me $11 to cure the issue.!!So the trap caught a raccoon!! Cool did its job so far, upon going out and finding the raccoon in the trap the trap door release mechanism was destroyed!! the rod that releases the trap door mechanism was destroyed by the raccoon as it sat inside the cage look the animal was able to bend and destroy the the releqse rod and the trip inside the cage.!!! WTF??? this is very very cheaply made! the company is also not very reasonable of trying to offer you any kind of compensation or replacement to fix their cheap ingenuity!As a retailer I would be embarrassed to sell a product that is made this flimsy! And feel like I was stealing peoples money by selling them this product.do yourself a favor and skip these people!!Bums i tell ya, bum with crap material making Crap Traps that the animal will destroy if captured.Bringing up another issue releasing the animal without having to euthanize it and running the risk of being bitten By possible rabid animal!! doesn’t sound fun to me.NEXT!!!

This product worked great. I captured two raccoons under my deck in only three days. The instructions are a little confusing but you can figure them out from the picture.

I have trapped for many years with homebuilt traps.Creatures would eventually scratch through wood sides.I thought this all metal trap would be the final one I would ever need. However,if a skunk wanders in it can spray due to this trap not having a solid bottom.A skunk must be able to dig its paws into the ground to spray and this will allow said creature to do so.Also the plate around the handle is too small whereas a squirel racoon or groundhog may reach through and scratch your hand when transporting.I will modify with a sheet metal bottom and finer mesh on top to try correcting.

It is saving our garden and fruit trees.Why did you pick this product vs others?:Other product did not work and tried this and working greate.Functionality:It is good, required to safeguard the rear side with additional string, so that it won't escape.Ease of cleaning:Yes, it is easy to clean and transport to other place.
