It's depressingly poor.
I don't write amazon reviews often, or ever. But I have to let everyone know how deplorable this monitor is, the only pros are its a very nicely built monitor it is indeed 540hz and as someone in Radiant on VALORANT it's noticeable (from 360hz to 540hz), that's it, the only good thing to say about it ends there. The colours are horrendous, ULMB2 is a sad excuse for motion reduction technology - I have ZERO idea why these tech reviewers are saying what they are saying about it - be prepared to hear a constant droning sound as soon as it's turned on (and with open back headphones on, you will hear it too, its THAT loud). I think ASUS completely threw this monitor in the bin as soon as it came out, it was the first 540hz monitor which was the big selling point of it at the time of release, there's a reason it sells for £400 less than the ZOWIE XL2586X. Now to talk about stretched resolution or ANY lower resolution on this monitor than the native resolution. If you want to play stretched res on this monitor, be prepared to have your eyes incinerated by the colour blobbing which CANNOT be changed whatsoever, you'll see a piercing array of red and white wherever you go making it near-impossible to see enemies in-game; also, immense stuttering comes with trying to use a stretched resolution on top of that colour blobbing, and no, it's not my computer, I tried it with my 240hz LG, no stutter on stretched res. Oh and let's talk about the 'e-sports pro aspect ratios' LOL if you want to use them, which I thought would fix the awful colour issues, it does - but be prepared to use black bars which cannot be turned off whatsoever in the built-in software nor on nvidia control panel. I've never seen a monitor that advertises itself as esports grade and be incapable of managing stretched or lower resolutions, I'm saying this as a genuine warning, buy a Zowie, or an ASUS ROG 360hz OLED. ASUS needs to stick to OLED's and completely ditch their god awful attempts at esports grade monitors, because opposed to the XL2566K/X and the XL2586K/X (I wouldn't buy the 2586 either as £1000+ is just stupid for a TN panel no matter the refresh rate) this was an actual depressing experience to use. However, if you want a broke boy entry into 540hz, errr this'll do it, I guess! But expect to play only on native resolution at all times and be prepared to listen to a droning sound all day long! (ULMB2) Finally I've attached a couple images for you to see the VAST difference between native (picture 1: 1920x1080 16:9) and stretched res (picture 2: 1280x960 4:3), no colour settings have been changed between the two, this is literally what the monitor does to itself when set to a lower resolution.

Disappointing quality after only 6 months, expected more for the price
I bought this monitor about six months ago and recently noticed a dead pixel. From the beginning, I wasn’t fully satisfied with it. While the high refresh rate is good, the overall image quality and colors are not as good as newer-generation monitors. That was something I expected to some extent, but developing a dead pixel after only six months, especially considering the price,is disappointing. Overall, the experience hasn’t met my expectations, and I’ll definitely think twice before purchasing anything from this brand again.

Great speed, awful image...even by TN standards.
I'll keep it as short as I can. I used this over a weekend and while the 540hz and pixel response is great, the particular TN panel used is one of the worst I've experienced. Viewing angles are not just bad, they are utterly atrocious. The grey background of steam is super dark at the top, and light grey at the bottom. The left and right sides have an ugly green/yellow tint while being white in the middle. Basically, even when looking straight on from normal gaming distance, the viewing angles make it virtually unusable imo. Also the screen coating is VERY grainy, unnecessarily so, to the point of making crosshairs hard to settle on in cs2 for example. Also, ULMB2 feels pointless at 540hz, so too does native G-SYNC. It's obviously a prototype monitor and feels like it. Listen ASUS, just give me 360hz, ips, 1080p, with ULMB2(that is more useable at 360hz), and with the equivalent performance of the PG27AQN(but without the incessant panel quality control issues), and i'll be first in line. As it is, avoid.
