Ambition Torped Wireless Tattoo Machine Kit, 3.5mm Rotary Pen

I am a professional tattoo/piercing artist in Venango county, Pa. I purchased all three colors of this machine. I absolutely love these machines, and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a tattoo machine. A few quarks with these machines, the pink colored one is the only one that the battery color matches the machine color exactly, the black machine has a gloss color and the battery is more of a matte finish, and the gold machine is similar with a gloss color on the machine and a more matte color on the battery, other than that they all function flawlessly. The batteries last a good amount of time, I haven’t really paid attention to how long the battery lasts on a single charge, but I have tattooed with it for a six hour session with minimal breaks and it still had charge left. I bought all three of these machines intentionally to get each of the colors, and if they put out more colors I would definitely purchase those as well. Does this machine compare to more expensive machines, I would strongly argue yes, my first machine was an fk irons flux max, and I had several issues with that machine and company, it was overly expensive, and you can only use their proprietary batteries. The replacement batteries for these machines are less than $100 (at the time of this review).

I’ve had this machine since July on the recommendation of another artist. I’ve been tattooing for about seven years and like most of you I’ve noticed all these major companies re-packaging the same products and charging hundreds and thousands of dollars more every year. I used this machine to do this whip shade portrait of this Al Capone and a few others, I must say I love it. There’s been absolutely no problems, rattling, or anything out of the ordinary. Runs very smooth, The battery packs charge really quick,runs lines, packs color and even does black and gray. And for the price it’s an absolute steal. I highly recommend just paying the extra and get it with the two battery packs. You won’t regret it. If something does happen to it, so what you can literally buy seven or more of these and you’ll still spend less money than some of the more overprice to main stream companies or you can just send it back. Always remember it’s not the wand, it’s the wizard, so if anybody is saying this machine isn’t great other than a broken part or some type of malfunction I would highly take a look at their work before taking their opinion to heart. Also, the customer service for ambition is great.

I used the Ambition Torped 28mm set at a 3.0mm stroke specifically for shading and it performed great. The machine runs very smooth and controlled, making it easy to build soft gradients and blends without overworking the skin. The 28mm grip feels comfortable and well-balanced in the hand, which helps a lot during longer shading sessions. It has consistent power but a softer hit, so it lays ink in cleanly while still giving you precision. Overall a very solid shading setup — predictable, stable, and easy to work with. Definitely a great option if you want smooth shading performance.

Okay, I have waited some time before writing my review and I have to say I have been enjoying learning with this machine. The battery stays charged for a very nice amount of time. My only wish is that it had come with two batteries. I love the color, it is not too powerful for me and seems to be a great machine so far.

I've used this machine on a couple of tattoos so far and really appreciate how solid it feels. Pulls lines with patience. The battery also lasted a long time, 2-3 hours of tattooing and it was still at 3/4ths, definitely considering getting another one just to have two at different strokes

The first pen I have tried that tattoos as efficiently as a coil machine lining and shading. 2 more just went into the cart for the future.

Got this machine when I was apprenticing, few months in the stroke started hitting the wrong spot inside the machine, you could just hear it and it wasn’t pulling lines right. Even had a seasoned artist use it and they didn’t like it. Couldn’t get it twisted open to even fix it, haven’t used it since, invested in a peak and I love it

This is a beast of a machine for the money. It's is very well built. It is powerful and the number one thing is it is one of the very few limited machines that easily come apart for sterilization. Battery life is great. The balance of the weight is great as well. Definitely worth the money.

Machine seems ok, the stroke cans are 3 are the same measurements…

Loved the look and the compact size of the batteries, but they weighed too much and the nose of the machine was too light for optimal balance in my opinion - or at least, for my style and liking. Now to find a better balanced brushless machine, the price was just right on this so I'm a little let down. But there's always new gear on the horizon in this day and age.

Battery pack is some weird orange/yellow fake gold color while the machine itself is rose gold. Save yourself the trouble and order black. Just remember to read each description as they have 3 different sized pens and I believe the smallest size comes with shorter stroke cams. Besides that, it is a great little machine and I do love that you can open up the back and fully clean/sterilize the machine
