Pack 40 Roofing Felt Lap Vent Stops Loft roof Condensation / Attic Space Ventilation Airflow

Very good items , which proved very easy to fit between the felt overlaps in the felt.Sometimes the felt need a bit of prising apart.I used a non stick spatula from the kitchen for this purpose!The vents have cured the damp problem in my loft after about a fortnight. Even in the corners.

Worked like a dream! Our loft was getting so wet that the a frame was soaking too! Put all 40 in our felt (20m long bungalow on an exposed windy position with north-west driving rain) and within a month the a frame is dry and no more puddles of water or soaking wet boxes! Saved us having to get a whole new roof. Still, quite expensive for relatively simple pieces of plastic that probably cost pence to manufacture but they did the job!

Great contraption. I bought a pack of these in order to cure a bad condensation problem in my loft. The condensation was collecting on the inside of my roof felt and dripping onto everything that was stored in the loft. This was causing everything to go mouldy. I decided that the best thing to do is to try and improve the airflow through the loft space. These lap vents are by far the easiest to install and also the most economical of all the solutions currently available. I bought the 40 pack which was enough to do every other roof felt lap in my loft on a reasonably sized detached 4 bedroom house. I half expected there to be at least some air flow between the roof felt laps before fitting these. However there was absolutely zero airflow. As soon as you fit these lapvents you will feel the air breezing in. It's as though the loft breathes a sigh of relief. Make sure that you apply the same number of lapvents to both front and back sections of roof to promote an even airflow. Manthorpe were very helpful. I had 8 damaged lapvents when the package was delivered and they replaced them without question in very quick time.

Fantastic. Simple to install. Forty of these little plastic devises in 15 mins. From a dripping wet loft on January 1st to a perfectly dry space on 15th Feb. What a relief to know my storage space is no longer a damp, mould ridden, nightmare.

Yup, these work in a cold loft to reduce condensation. Please note that loft condensation is caused by lack of ventilation in the main house. So it's a multiple fix. You will need to open the window ventilation and increase fresh air there. The big culprits are steam ironing, cooking and boilers. Then these felt vents will increase loft ventilation and this should reduce moisture in the loft by blowing it away. Making sure that the loft lid is air tight so no moist air can get in will also help. So it's a bit of a job but these felt vents will really help. Check on you tube for more help. These are a must. We had 40 for our 4 bedroom house.

I installed 60 of these in my loft which was suffering from major condensation. After a couple of weeks the condensation is gone and the boxes stored there are dry again.
