I should have bought this years ago!
Until I bought this I didn't understand the hype about mechanical keyboards and thought they were only for hard-core gamers. When my membrane keyboard began to be unreliable, I ventured to buy this, having heard that Cherry had a good reputation. I was not disappointed, the positive response of the keyboard entices one to work, and has considerably speeded up my typing. The keyboard has a reassuringly solid feel and the metal base looks good. I am very pleased with the caps lock light, it's bright and on the ke,y so you instantly spot when you've accidentally activated it. The function keys are just tha,t but a free download enables you to assign whatever actions you need to them. So no problems. Not cheap, but in my opinion, value for money.

Perfect Office + Gaming Keyboard
The keys are an absolute dream to type on. Lovely sound, not too loud, just a satisfying 'thock' that won't drive you mad! My typing speed has definitely increased. My last keyboard was a cheapo plasticy mechanical board that did well, but would not be anywhere near the quality of this board. Absolutely worth every penny. Looks gorgeous too! Lighting is tasteful, ie. No flashing rgb, just a num pad & caps lock indicator. High quality feel all around. Solid.

A joy to use
This is the best keyboard I've ever used, and I've used many. The keys give a satisfying click, the build quality is great, and it's a full size mechanical keyboard, something I've had quite a lot of difficulty in finding. It's a joy to use, whether I'm using it in my day job as a sport's writer, or for more leisurely writing. 10/10.

A compact keyboard with an interesting travel.
I've been using the Cherry KC 200 MX for a bit, with the brown switches, and it's an interesting keyboard and feels very natural to type on. It's full-sized, with a full function row, a navigation block, and four extra media keys including volume controls and a calculator. It's a slim design with a plastic chassis and an aluminum top plate. The bronze and black go together very well. The keycaps are plastic, with a subtle texture and a gentle curve on the face that feels pretty natural to type on. However, they don't feel very substantial and the edges are a little sharp, both around the face of the keycap and underneath. Typing on it is very nice and an improvement over the previous keyboards I've had, which were membrane and a linear mechanical. The brown switches have an initial resistance, until they give in, so it feels quite tactile. But instead of a smooth travel all the way down, they feel like they have stages—once you pass the bump, it registers, but the resistance continues until it finally gives out half way, where they bottom out against the chassis with a sort of dull clack. It's not a linear experience, as expected, but I was suprised at the many stages of it. I also would not call this a particulary quiet keyboard if you press your keys all the way down. The vast majority of the keys felt nice, tactile and consistent. However, there were a small few that felt a little more stiff and overly dampened. When I popped off the keycap, I found an excessive amount of lubrication that had leaked out onto the chassis. After cleaning it up, it felt more in line with the other keys, but it's still not perfect. The layout is also compact for a full-size keyboard. The function keys, arrow keys, and numpad are all packed in tightly with almost no space between them. It definitely takes some getting used to, but at least it saves a little desk space which is something I very much needed. The cable is pretty stiff and will take some time to straighten out. Not a huge deal, but it makes routing it a little annoying and it looks quite ugly. It's a unique keyboard that's comfortable to type on, and the wedge shaped angle of the chassis (which can be further adjusted using the legs) feels natural, pairs nicely with my wrist rest and general posture. I wouldn't say it's perfect, but it does the job—calculator key and all.

Great keyboard
This is a great keyboard and I'm so pleased I bought it. It replaces a non Cherry mechanical keyboard I had for a couple of years that started malfunctioning within a few months and gradually got worse. It also had coloured lights at the back of keys which you could change. I don't know if this keyboard is any good for gamers as I don't play games. Its a simple, wired keyboard, without lights, that feels wonderful and sturdy to use but which doesn't have any whistles or bells, it just works! So if that's what you want then I highly recommend this to you.

Very classy
Outstandingly good keyboard. Keys are beautifully weighted and the keyboard is not too noisy when operated. Has a lovely, classy feel and is a joy to use.

Keycaps discolored
Lovely keyboard but something has happened to the keycaps. I have only had it for 8 days so not wear and tear. Not sure if you can get replacement keycaps, but it makes the board look old and shabby too soon :-)

Bulletproof
A very robust keyboard. Ideal when you spend your whole day on it.
