Solidly made, good weight, great price
This is a well made ball peen hammer. If you don't know what to use this hammer for, you don't need it. Get a regular claw hammer. For those who do know what it's for, for the money, it's an excellent buy.

Most excellent ball peen hammer
This hammer is awesome. Its simple, but sometimes simple is better. The wooden handle is well made and the head is attached well and made of very dense steel. I would definitely buy again in the future.

Great quality
This is a very useful ball peen hammer, made of high quality alloy steel. It is robust and durable, just like Crescent's other hand tools. The handle is made of hickory wood, and it's lightweight and comfortable to grip. The wood around the hole in the handle was not perfectly finished, but it may be easily smoothed with a fine file.

Big and well-made, and big
This is a big hammer. If my regular hammer and this hammer had a fight, this hammer would win. I used to have a ball peen hammer when I was young. It seems like it was maybe half the size of this. That's what I thought I was getting, because I don't read all the way through the product page before I order something. Don't be me =)I got this for putting small nails into the wall to hang pictures on. This is more like something you would use to tear down a wall.It is solid. It is well made. It is big. I have large hands and they have told me this is a big handle. It's a good deal for the price. My main issue with this one I've had with other companies as well - seeming like they are trying to make it appear their products are made in the USA when they are made in China or elsewhere. Transparency breeds trust.Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful.

It's a hammer that peens
If you have some peening to do then this hammer has got you covered. Ball peens have a purpose and it's generally not for smacking in nails. Though it can obviously do that too, but then so could a rock. It's a rather large ballpeen hammer. Most I've used are substantially smaller. The pins I usually need to peen are pretty small or in hard to swing areas where this is overkill. That said, it's not useless. It'll do the job with it's mass instead of raw speed.

Nicely-Made Hammer
Feels good in the hand - it's balanced well, and solid. Good steel, good wood, and it should last years of banging on things.
