Nice and easy.
Great value. Worked great. Nice clear digital display and also lights to help see the readings. The only thing I didn't like was that when I placed the thermometer into the hot wax, the reading raised from low to high in increments instead of the instant hottest reading.

Nice Little Meat Thermometer - Quick Response Time
Was provided the product by the seller to review, but this is my honest feedback: Bottom Line - Nice meat thermometer for the price of ~$10, the temperature seems accurate and registers very quickly (2-3 seconds), the display is a little small but still easy to read and backlit, the buttons are easy to use/understand and it come with a protective cap for the pointy end. Would recommend ThermoPro based on first impressions, can't speak to it longevity but don't expect any issues. Full review below. The thermometer arrived quickly and in good shape, well package with an instruction book and customer service contact card. Simply pulled the plastic tab at the battery compartment and turned on with a nice backlit display. I was cycling it from Celsius to Fahrenheit (because I'm in 'merica) and the display reset on me (like a power cycle). I fidgeted with the buttons and it did it again. At this point I took the battery compartment door off and reseated both button batteries and it has been fine since. 1. Don't just pull the plastic tab, take the time to open the battery compartment and remove the plastic and make sure the batteries all fully reseat. Once I had it working I tested it out at room temperature, my thermostat read 78 deg and the TP01A was reading right around 79 deg, so first check pretty good. I cycled power (hold down the power button for three seconds to turn off) and it was coming in around 80 deg but dropped back down to around 79 deg. Next, tested it in the toaster oven against another name brand meat thermometer we have used for years. I was just comparing readings of the hot air (don't put these things in the oven as I am sure the plastic would melt) and it was pulling in right beside my other thermometer (within a degree) and even got there a little quicker. Second check passed. So now I am putting this in some chicken with my other thermometer right beside it and the TP01A was quick to register the temperature, while the name brand took another few seconds to get there, they both settled on a temp that was within a degree of each other so I call that pretty good. Overall happy with the performance of this thermometer.

Great value when combinign performance with price.
I ordered these to replace an older Therm Pro that had finally decided to come apart. I had found the older unit to be very accurate and very reliable and wanted the same brand. The combination of its low price and performance sold me on the brand. I saw the two-pack and jumped at the offer since we have a family-owned second home. When I purchased the first one a few years ago, I was replacing another brand that had failed and had never given me accurate readings. It registered temps that were lower than the actual inner temp. The Them Pro gave me accurate readings from the get go. I gave this item five stars because of its performance and usability. I do, however, have one major bone to pick with the manufacturer. The older one that I replaced came with a sheath that covered the entire temperature probe when not in use. The newer item comes with a cheap little tip that only covers the end of the probe. I attached a pic showing the two side-by-side. Don't like that at all, but love the probe itself.

A bargain: works great & great company support.
It's a bit early to report on this device. Certainly take that into account when looking at my stars for battery life and durability. That said, the device seems to work well so far... the extra length of the probe keeps the grip (and the hand holding the grip) away from the heat. It seems to be accurate, when measuring room temperature, and it feels accurate when measuring meat temperature. And it responds quite quickly. But I'm writing because of their great follow-up. Videos, toll-free helpline AND the offer of a 3 year warranty if you register the device online (1 year otherwise.) Having had a number of meat thermometers that didn't even last a season, I'm impressed. And this one cost less than half of the others. Time will tell about durability etc. But I've always got the warranty if anything goes wrong. (I hardly ever write reviews, but was so impressed with their customer support, that I did.) UPDATE: Bad news is that the thermometer did fail, part of the LCD display stopped working and it was impossible to read the temperature that it was reading. The great news is that I reached out to customer support about the warranty and they stood by it— I had a new thermometer in a few days. Still an awesome product backed by awesome customer service.

Top Notch Customer Service A+++++!!!!
I have purchased two iTronic products – the ThermoPro TP01A Instant Read and the TP20 wireless remote. The TP20 was purchased almost two years ago and Amazon won’t let me leave a review on it for some reason. I just purchased the TP01A and haven’t put it through its paces yet. BUT…..what I do want to do is recommend ThermoPro’s amazing customer service. Just a week after buying the TP20 a couple of years ago, I was first surprised to get an email from iTronics offering a spare set of probes for free. Just….because. So that left me with two full sets of new probes right off the bat. Awesome! The TP20 works great for me, although I don’t have a frame of reference to compare it to other units. Haven’t measured the range but it does everything I need and has brought a world of consistency to my cooks. There are a couple of improvements I would choose to make to make it more user friendly to set up and may contact the manufacturer to recommend it. Simple things like being able to change temps by holding the button down instead of having to press it for each degree change (with the annoying beep that comes with every push of the button – can’t we make that go away?). Some time back, though, I went to use it and found the transmitter wouldn’t communicate with the receiver anymore. I replaced both sets of batteries and rebooted both pieces to no avail. I contacted iTronics, who walked me through a reset process, but it still didn’t work. They confirmed my shipping address and said they’d make it right. When the package arrived, I was a bit surprised to see a whole new boxed unit! New matched transmitter and receiver, two more probes and a clip. So now I still have the old transmitter (which still works, I just can’t use it remotely) that stays in the kitchen for oven duty and a new remote unit, as well as six probes. Customer service was great to work with and was the reason I purchased the TP01A on sale as a backup to my other instant read. Once I get time to put it through its paces, time will tell if it becomes my backup or primary instant read. Regardless, I HIGHLY recommend this company just for the customer service.

Faster read and longer probe than my old Taylor Meat Thermometer
I've been looking for a deal on an inexpensive meat thermometer to replace the old Taylor (bottom in pic) one I've had for ages. The Taylor one was well made and lasted for well over a decade, however it was banged up pretty badly during our last Thanksgiving dinner when we accidentally put it back into the oven with the Turkey. While the thermometer still works, the plastic was warped enough that the battery cap would not stay in place anymore. I picked up the ThermoPro TP01A for under ten dollars and for the price, I am quite satisfied. The probe is 2 inches longer than my old Taylor, which comes in handy for larger food items (Hams and Turkeys). The temperature read is definitely faster, perhaps a second or two difference which is a plus. The downside is that it uses 2 batteries versus 1 for the Taylor. However, this might just mean it lasts longer than the Taylor as the overall functions between the two are the same and I can't imagine the electronics are vastly different. I like the option of the indigo backlight, which is also helpful especially when used at night and in the oven where light might be scarce. I wish there were a better cap (instead of the plastic cover that will easily be lost), or a way to clip it to something. But for all the bells and whistles, I'd have to pay a bit more which I'm not interested in doing. For anyone looking for a simple, fast and inexpensive meat thermometer, the ThermoPro TP01A is a solid purchase.

Good for meat, bad when introduced to water.
Good thermometer but if it gets wet it will not work. While it was functional it was great at providing instant temp on meat products. However, a household member washed the entire thermometer which is not water-tight. The display screen became cloudy and illegible.

Great and accurate
Having a food thermometer allows me to accurately cook food so I don't overcook them. This thermometer is perfect, works well, and does all I need.

A kitchen must have
This is fantastic. I use it with meat, oil, milk, stews and even baked items to check the inside temperature. It is instant and you get the reading the moment you poke it in.

A great thermometer for many uses
This has honestly been great. We use it for milk frothing, tea testing, cooking temperature reading etc. It works really well and is easy to switch between celsius and Fahrenheit.

Great thermometer
must have for bakers, has all the features you need - backlight, C and F readings. Can't speak to the accuracy as I don't have any to compare to but it seems pretty accurate, haven't had any problems. Compact and easy to clean and has a cover for the tip to protect.
