California Costumes Women's Eye Candy - Spanish Pirate Adult

Ordered this for an adult costume party. It arrived on the expected day. Great costume for the price- doesn't look cheap and came with several accesories( hat, pirate booty pouch). The skirt is short and you will need to buy a black petticoat to go underneath if you want it to look like the picture. I purchased the black petticoat from Leg Avenue and and it really completed the look. The whole costume fit as expected - I am 5'7 130 lbs 34D and I ordered a small. The top was low cut, I wore a black bandeau underneath for the adult costume party. For handing out candy, I put a black tank underneath. The hat came scrunched up, I just stuffed it and let it sit for a few days and the wrinkles came out. The sleeves looked good with the costume, a little scratchy and annoying after a few hours but they stayed up, never fell down. I bought several add-on accessories to complete this look- the petticoat, red and black striped boot covers, a garter, black fishnets and gold-like coin necklace and large gold hoop earrings. I got lots of compliments, very good costume for the price. You can dial up or down the sexy level with styling!

I ordered this costume for a Halloween party my husband and I were attending this year. I hadn't seen it in stores and it was a new costume this year so there weren't any reviews on it that I could find. I took a chance and ordered it anyway because it looked so pretty in the picture. I'm really glad I did because I loved this costume! I received many compliments on it at the party. The quality of the material is really nice and I will be able to reuse the costume many times. The dress could be used for quite a few other "characters" in my opinion. The size was true, just take your measurements and you will be fine. I would recommend a petticoat as it not only makes the skirt look better but it also hides your tush when you bend over lol! The skirt is not super short but it's short enough, I wore spankies under it just in case. The "sleeves" also stay in place very well which surprised me. The only "complaints" I have would be the hat and the belt. Compared to the quality of the costume the hat is kind of chincy but it still looks good. The belt is kind of chincy as well (but it's a Halloween costume, I wasn't expecting a nice leather belt) the buckle on the belt does not have the prong part that goes through the holes that are in the belt. I don't know if that was just a fluke but that's how my belt came so I had to keep tightening the belt throughout the evening. I would think that it was a manufacturing error as the belt did have holes in it for the prong to go through. I'm happy with the purchase and this item still deserves five stars because it truly is an awesome costume!

I love California Costumes. Every costume I've purchased from them has been wonderful. Usually, Halloween costumes are cheaper and you can't wear them more than once; however, CC makes a better quality costume. It isn't perfect, and the material could be a little better, but overall it works. It doesn't look super cheap like most Halloween costumes. The fit is great. Definitely order true-to-size. (again usually Halloween shopping everything is 10 sizes too small right? not with CC). The pirate costume was kind of short, but not obscene. It is way shorter in the back than front and I wore a cape with mine so I didn't have to worry about anyone seeing my bottom. I also wore tights under it. The belt was the worst part. It's cheap and flimsy and there isn't an actual buckle so it kept coming off. The hat is awesome! And the little details on the costume were great.

This costume is adorable and for the terrific price pretty nice quality. I do recommend getting the under skirt so the costume is flouncy like the photo. I brought mine in this photo from Amazon for only $14. I felt sexy and the costume looked great! As many mentioned the hat was flat but I didn’t want to wear a hat anyway and I think I could’ve reshaped it if needed. Definitely recommend!! FYI, I received all pieces advertised and the costume was clean with no holes. Btw, the costume my husband has on was also purchased off Amazon and was also great quality.

This costume is adorable. I didn't expect much when I purchased it, as it was inexpensive. I only needed it for a Samba dance performance at a harbor festival, but I'm sure this is going to come in handy for other uses. The top ties like a halter, which is good for those of us who are taller than average, thank along with the bodice lacing up, makes it adjustable and easier to get a good fit. While this wouldn't hold up for daily wear (not what it's designed for) It's well made enough that I should get plenty of use out of it. You definitely want a petticoat underneath for both modesty and to get the skirt to flare. I'm a bit out of shape right now and am running in between medium and large being a good fit. I decided to go a "size and a half up" and get an extra large due to my height, 5' 10". Going a size and a half up was larger than I needed, but it's adjustable enough that it's going to work just fine. This is my first costume from California Costumes and I will definitely buy again.

Despite not coming with a hat, I LOVE IT ! The price was right, the quality was right, the fit was right, and it looks awesome! I’ll embellish it a little more, and make a few alternates and adjustments, but this was right out of the package (with my own boots (I may use shorter boots to show off more leg, or shorten the skirt, or both. And I don’t mind having to get a hat. I love it.

I like the costume a lot. Very flattering and comfortable but yet it is very short like others have pointed out. I am 5'6'' and it barely covered the bottom of my butt. I wore it twice, once with a pair of leather shorts that I had and the second time with a black crinoline skirt that I had which both worked perfect. The hat to me worked fine since it is in fact just a costume. It did come smashed up but once on it looked fine for the purpose. There are no boot covers so you can order some or just use some boots you have to pull off the look. The dress is stretchy enough and the front is adjustable with the strings that you can tighten or loosen as needed for your bust. I am a 38D cup and the small worked great on me. The attached coin purse was a great added touch. And the belt held up fine for me. My boyfriend liked the outfit said I looked sexy in it. So I was pleased

EDIT: I dropped the rating on this item from 3 stars to 1. I tried it on again tonight to see what I could do to make it work for me and while putting it on the gold scalloped part at the top of the costume ripped into little shreds. What the heck. SO not worth stinking 45 dollars!!! Belt does not have a prong to go through the hole so I will probably have to end up safety pinning it.There was also a random fabric piece just hanging that I had to cut off. Poor tailor ship or a quality control issue I don't know. This costume is NOT FOR TALL people (I am 5'8). I am tall with a large bosom (34H) and this costume made me look like I have a super short torso which is not flattering at all :(. It is also very short but it wont be so bad with a petticoat and possibly some booty shorts underneath. When you lace up the gold string it causes the fabric at the breast part to kind of bunch together which doesn't look very attractive or anything like the picture (I will say this may only be an issue somebody with a large chest would encounter but I'm not sure). I would say this costume fits true to size. I ordered the XL and probably could have gone with the large (I am size 12). The sleeves also aren't as fluffy as they look in the picture. Other than those things it is an okay costume. Still going to end up wearing it since it's short notice and I don't really have time to put anything else together... I wouldn't get this costume if you are tall or have a large chest. Overall it is okay...the hat was better than expected so that's a plus.

Looks amazing. Good quality and a perfect fit. I'm a 10/12 and ordered that size. Hat was a bit squashed but soon moulded out correctly. Can't wait for the party night.

Habe es mir als MANN bestellt (XL) weil wir als Piratinnen gehen wollen. Es passt super. einzigstes Manko ist das es verdammt kurz ist. Für die Damen sei gesagt kauft es wenn ihr auffallen wollt (;

I'm normally an AUS size 8 and I bought this costume in a size XS after reading the reviews. It ended up being a perfect fit. The skirt is a little bit see-through, but other than that I'm completely happy with the fit.

Me encanto como se ve, esta coqueto y tiene muchos accesorios que lo hacen resaltar mucho tambien. El material se me hace bien para lo que es y llego en buen estado y con todas las piezas :). Claro que lo recomiendo.
