Works very well and finds the smallest leaks. This was the best product I ever bought.

This review is for ILD-200. It is a shame they mix all the reviews together for 3 different models. I had a leak on a R410A mini split that I couldn't find with leak spray. This thing arrived in one day fully charged. I've never used a leak detector before. I read about two sentences of the instructions and turned it on. I checked several different parts of the system. Even on high sensitivity I got zero false positives. When I got to the area of the leak the beeper went off 100%, even when I turned down the sensitivity. It is actually a pretty big leak although the bubble liquid barely indicated it even after the detector showed where it was. I may never need this again but I'm keeping it. This thing is a solid performer on R410A which I believe is one of the harder ones to detect.

Great value for the money. Just follow the instructions and understand how these work. They need to "warm up in clean air", and need to be periodically purged in clean air to clear the sensor. This tool is invaluable for systems like multi head minisplits, with hidden flares.

The ILD300 is a good value compared to other infrared leak detectors. I got it for situations where my heated diode leak detectors throw too many false positives. Pros: The color screen is a nice touch that you usually only see on top of the line devices. I also like the switchable refrigerant modes so you can tune it to the gas you are trying to detect. Lithium ion batteries charge with any android phone charger. The screen displays a countdown to warmup which is a nice feature. Any experienced tech knows warmup feels like it takes forever when you have a job to do. At least this one lets you know when it will be ready. Cons: Impossible to see the color screen in direct sunlight. No reset or rezero button so you can only rezero by aiming away from the equipment and waiting for the alerts to stop. 3.5 inch sweeping motion takes some getting used to. This is a characteristic of all infrared detectors. It may be user error but i did get numerous false positives until I got the hang of it. Bottom line. Good value but certainly not cheap. I tested it on a 30 ton AAON with a particularly hard to find leak. It was a tall order for a value detector. I did find the leak but it took a while. Be sure read the instructions. Test it out on a leaky shrader so you understand how it reacts before you bring it to battle with you.

Great value for the money! After dropping my expensive detector off a roof and destroying it, I thought I would give this one a try because it had great reviews on more than just Amazon. Glad I took the chance on it. Works great and helped by find the leak with out issue.

Way better than my other current meter at picking up smaller leaks, at least for R410. And easy to use. And claims a 10 year life. Not tested that yet, but that would be great. Was an issue with my last sniffer that did not last more than a year or so it seemed.

Bought this cause it was my last resort on finding a leak ive had for a while. I dont like the dye and glasses and all of that junk because if its leaking bad enough it will get into the fan and spread all over the engine block specially around the compressor. So after reading reviews and talking to some ac folks they recommended this detector. In the video above you will immediately found my leak on the compressor seal and also some small leaks on the fittings. Awesome product for the money. Would recommend has a nice case with it as well to protect. I would recommend to put this product in your home in the closet or somewhere safe to keep out of humidity and moisture don't just store this in the tool box and also remove the batteries as well so it doesn't mess up the connections from leaking acid. Awesome product. 5 stars

Haven't found a leak with it yet. I use the dye normally, the secret to my magic. When it's failed, this hasn't helped so far. I'll update my review if anything changes. Update on review. Probe gives false alarm every time it's gently pumped while trying to reach in to tight places. USELESS. 30 Day send back warranty. I'm a day too late so I'll eat $200

Bom ainda eu não utilizei o equipamento em campo, porém a única coisa que eu fiz foi ligar o aparelho e realizei a calibragem por cerca de 30 segundos,o manual de instrução é todo em inglês,Infelizmente eu vou ter que traduzir para que eu possa entender a sua funcionalidade. Acompanha os10 Filtros,um cabo USB e o manual de instrução, e também a maleta 💼 plástica. Não sei se é normal ao Tocar na ponta do sensor e ele ficar tocando, tem momentos que para de tocar ao pega na ponta do sensor. Eu achei que não valeu tudo isso, o preço está muito caro.
