Can these be installed on top of a dirt/gravel floor?

We do not recommend installing these (or any) interlocking garage tiles on top of a dirt/(packed) gravel floor since the 'feet' underneath the tiles could settle into the ground and become uneven/not level and eventually come apart. Thanks, American Floor Mats

Will these hold up in a hot garage in Arizona?

We are in Wisconsin, while we do not have long periods of extreme heat, we do hit 90° throughout the summer months. Our winters will routinely fall below negative 15°. Our tiles have held up extremely well to the temperature extremes.

how wide are the gaps between the ribs?

Is this really slip resistant when wet?

I have this in both indoors and outdoors in my dog run and it can be a little slick when wet but not terribly. Slip resistant doesn't mean you won't slip just that you'll slip less. I think the slit pattern helps cut down on slide a bit.
