I’ve tried a few steering wheel locks over the years, and this Tevlaphee Twin Bar Lock is easily one of the most solid I’ve used. Right out of the box, it feels durable and heavy-duty—in a good way. The construction is thick, the mechanism is smooth, and the high-visibility design makes it immediately clear to anyone looking into the car that it’s protected. Installation is very straightforward: adjust to fit, snap it into place, and lock. It takes less than ten seconds, and it fits securely without wobbling. The adjustable length is great because it works across different vehicles in my household. It comes with three keys, which is a nice bonus for keeping spares. Once locked, the twin-bar design makes it very hard for the steering wheel to move in either direction. It feels like a meaningful layer of security rather than a flimsy deterrent. Very solid piece of kit and, unlike others I’ve used, it’s so easy to put on and take off. I was concerned at previous comments re the locking system but I’ve really put it through its paces and have had no issues at all with locking and unlocking. It’s great that it can be adjusted to fit most car steering wheels - I have a Kia Picanto and had no problems fitting it. The lock is very sturdy and it is a comfort having something like this in the car to deter possible break ins. Overall I think this is a great product that is good value for money - so much so, I’m looking at getting another one for a relative!

This is a solid and highly visible steering wheel lock that provides an excellent additional deterrent against vehicle theft. The bright yellow design makes it immediately obvious from outside the car that the vehicle has an extra layer of security. The lock feels sturdy and is straightforward to fit and remove. Of course, like any physical security device, a determined thief with enough time and the right tools could potentially find a way around it, so I wouldn’t consider it completely theft-proof. It’s also worth remembering that a steering wheel lock won’t prevent a quick smash-and-grab theft of belongings left inside the car. However, as a visible deterrent and an additional obstacle for someone attempting to steal the vehicle itself, it does an excellent job. Overall, a well-made product that provides some extra peace of mind. Very happy with it.

Item as described and arrived very quickly. Lets be honest, this will not stop a professional criminal from stealing your car however it adds another layer of protection and may stop you being targeted in the first place as it is a deterrent device. Universal fit works well over my steering wheel and closes relatively small so does not take up much room in your boot. Happy with the product overall. I would have liked to have seen both of the chrome bars locking on the device however only one does, the other is freely sliding. This would mean a criminal would only have to make one cut to remove the item. Supplied with 3 keys which is useful. Yellow sections are rubber dipped so they wont cause any damages/scratches to internal plastics.

I’d just bought my son his first car. Nothing flashy, low insurance, but nearly new. Yes it has an immobiliser, alarm etc. but alongside telling him the importance of leaving nothing on show, and nothing of value in it, he began to worry it might get targeted for theft. A steering lock was a simple way of giving him the visual feedback it was safe. With the added bonus of making any joyrider think twice too. After looking at several steering wheel locks, I settled on this brand as it had a. Sturdy steel frame, dimple lock (harder to pick) came in a visually striking yellow (though more subtle colours were available) and a price point that wasn’t crazy expensive. And you get 3 keys! It feels strong, and has a good range from locked fully closed to open, so would fit any steering wheel. So hopefully, when he decides to get a new car down the line, he can still use this lock. I am really happy with how it feels, and is definitely secure once in place. And it’s not so big it takes up room when not being used. We are both extremely happy with this lock and will be recommending it to friends and family.

Edit update 29/4/2026 Still working well. No jams Good bit of kit. I like it. Fits over my nissan notes wheel perfectly I noted the reviews about windscreen damage I fit mine bar towards gear stick . No issues at all with windscreen . I also noted the jammed reviews, mine slide perfectly. For those less quick to think like me Once unlocked you simply fit bar side to wheel, then pull the other pronged end, and fit to opposite side of steering wheel. tightening only with hands . I was inserting key again and then locking once I thought it was in place, only for the lock to slide slightly on steering wheel, leaving it still secured but looser than I preferred it to be. Now, using just my hands once it's unlocked and off the wheel, I get an easier and much tighter fit Felt tough & sturdy. Hopefully it never gets truly tested And visually, like any such bar it offers a deterrent to any opportunist thief making them choose a less well defended vehicle.. I bought this for when I have to park one of my cars on-street. Between my family we have three cars that might be in this situation so it was important for a steering lock to be able to fit all of them. This lock fits my '17 C Class Mercedes (fat steering wheel, bog airbag, '06 Jimny (average wheel with airbag and a '66 Humber SuperSnipe (large diameter, thin steering wheel with chrome horn ring). The lock itself is well made with powder coated steel (I chose yellow for visibility), with a robust lock and easy to fit without causing damage to the wheel or dashboard. It is well priced for the quality of the item and has no edges that will cause damage. Three keys means each car can have its own key without the need to go looking. When not in use it clicks up quite small and can sit behind the driver's seat and doesn't clank or vibrate. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Have used this steering lock (almost) daily since I got the car, almost a year and a half ago and am more than pleased with it. It is sturdy and operates reliably and easily. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone looking to secure their car against theft.

I’ve used it for a bit over a week so far and it’s worked very well. It is much heavier duty than our previous wheel lock. It is solid and easy to use. We also appreciate that it is brightly colored and easily seen on our steering wheel.

Ich bin mit dem Lenkradschloss sehr zufrieden. Es wirkt sehr robust und stabil verarbeitet und lässt sich schnell und unkompliziert am Lenkrad anbringen. Einmal montiert, blockiert es das Lenkrad deutlich und ist von außen sofort sichtbar – dadurch hat es meiner Meinung nach schon eine gute abschreckende Wirkung. Besonders gefällt mir die schwarze Ausführung. Sie wirkt deutlich hochwertiger und unauffälliger als viele der grell lackierten Lenkradschlösser. Auch in meinem Fiat passt es problemlos und sitzt ordentlich am Lenkrad. Die Handhabung ist einfach und das Schloss vermittelt insgesamt ein gutes zusätzliches Sicherheitsgefühl. Für mich eine sinnvolle Ergänzung zur normalen Fahrzeugsicherung. Klare Kaufempfehlung – würde ich wieder kaufen.
