Q: Can this be run in to a router or switch with distribution to more than one computer?

No. The antenna uses a USB 2.0 cable so it must be run into a computer. Also driver software is needed to run the antenna. The antenna comes with the drivers.The speed and range of a router is determined by the internal parts. Rarely do routers have external antenna or the options to connect them.A few routers, however, will have an external antenna that screw into the router unit. I've seen up to 4 antennas on one unit. In theses routers you can add a screw-in type antenna to increase the range. Usually it is a co-axial connection or mini coaxial connection.... but not the USB connection like this NextG USB-Yagi design.

Q: If I keep this outside, will storing it in plastic impact the signal strength?

Wifi is just an electromagnetic wave in a specific frequency range. Plastic does not interfere. Just like you can heat things inside plastic in a microwave. I could see a problem with moisture inside if you seal the plastic and trap humid air in there. Might not become an issue depending on your local environmental conditions.

Q: I don't see a mention of the USB cable length that is included with the Yagi antenna. What length is it?

Its like a 6 foot long usb cable, good sized and it comes with a tripod. I have this antenna the range is outstanding but keep in mind its directional, it will mostly pickup routers in the direction your pointing it, if you never experienced long range wifi antennas before you will be amazed with this little gem!!!

Q: Can this WiFi antenna hookup to a wireless router so I can get a signal in other rooms, if it can what router can i use to go with this.

There is a device called "catch and share". It is made to work with this antenna. It works my smart TV and phone.
