I already bought three of these phone stands , but am using them as tilt stands for my split keyboard and trackball.The stand is made of metal and has articulation at the bottom, the middle and the top, just under the magnet.Joints are stiff and won’t move much when your device is placed on the stand. I recommend that you position the stand first and then place the device.The magnetic hold is good. As you can see, it holds a half of a keyboard or a big trackball easily. I used the included adhesive metal ring, A big phone will be held securely in place.Non slip inserts on the base work great! As you can see in the pictures, I place my keyboard halves almost vertically, and the base doesn’t move while I type (applying force laterally).They are a great desktop addition, with sleek elegant looks and excellent quality.The only con is that they’re a bit heavy to carry around in my bag (I carry three), and they don’t collapse too slim. They’re 1 inch when collapsed (head over base) or 3/4” when laid out extended (see last pic)

I bought 3 of these because the first one blue my mind away. It is perfect in size and the movement, is top notch meaning I can position my phone any kind of way by adjusting it in different direction to catch different angles. It holds the phone with a tight magnetic grip and not hard to remove. Very easy to use and with the price.

this is a great stand for the phone on a desk. I use mine with a magsafe case and it grabs the case perfectly. the movement is a bit stiff which is great because it is very sturdy but the downside it it take 2 hands to adjust the phone angle. I do recommend it for desk use great to pop my phone on it when I sit down and still be able to read and see messages quickly.
