Good ideas about what your personal colours are
A really good book that builds on the colour seasons that most women use (maybe some men too?). Instead of just giving the reader a generic group of colours, this author focuses on the unique colour combinations nature has already given us from the many colours in our eyes to our skin tones and hair, even the colour of our blush is identified and forms our unique colour palate. While the author is great at doing this, trying to find colour tiles outside the USA is difficult and a way out of this would be to have a companion website where a range of colours could be printed off to use as comparisons to the readers skin, hair and eyes and then these colours could be kept together while shopping?Highly recommend this book and have recommended it to one of my dear friends who loves sorting out women's wardrobes!

Expensive for the price
I bought this book after becoming bored in lockdown. I realised the colours I 'saw' in my hair, eyes, vein colours etc were the ones that are mainly in my wardrobe. Perhaps these are the colours I am drawn to anyway and the book just confirmed this. However, I liked the advice about which are most effective colours to wear when ie interviews, dates, weddings, casual wear which are creams and beige for me so, in the current climate, I'll be living in these colours for the foreseeable future. I also liked the idea of using paint chip cards to find you true colours and this was useful.

Interesting book
An interesting style system guiding you through a journey of yourself image. Through the exercises i looked at myself through the lens of colour, Identifying shades and tones within my eyes ,opened up a different door. With the understanding of the shades and tones within my eyes i can identify those in my wardrobe and be aware which of those will highlight my eyes and why. I dropped a star as i found the colour of the blushed cheeks exercise to be very difficult with all the different counteractive tones i have in my blushed cheeks ,and this is the exercise that results in the providing of a colour and style identity. All in all an interesting book that i would recommend ,but wasn't the best fit for myself.

Very useful
Loving the writing style of this book. Some of the colour terms are confusing and coloured photos of these would be useful buy it gets you to think about colours rather then just follow along

Too exacting to do yourself!
This book is based on some sound theory - I have no doubt of that. Wearing the colours already in your personal colouring makes perfect sense, putting this theory into practice via the method in this book is a different matter entirely! How many of us, even with art training such as myself, can accurately tell the exact shade of the veins in our wrists? Jade green, kelly green anyone? Bright turquoise, pale duckegg blue, violet/purple,lavender, etc - if they're anything like mine there will be several different colours anyway. Also finding the perfect shade of red from the red shade you flush or blush or as in the red parts of the palm of your hand - again a lot of lovely descriptions of reds all with names off paint charts - but too difficult to ascertain what shade of red your own is. Again finding your own architype from a list of different ideal styles of dress, are you a sophisticated packbacker or a darling diva type - way to difficult to assess which naturally fits your own colouring or body type yourself from these generalised descriptions. A one to one consultation with the author may make it possible. But this book is steeped in complicated analysis theory that reads like a textbook without any illustrations or enough basic practical advise to put it into practice. Disappointing and needed editoring to iron out some of these problems prior to publication.

Read this if you are interested in colour seasons.
This is absolutely brilliant to read. I have always found colour, style and fashion interesting, and this book took everything I have though and put it in a easy-to-read guide. I have loved following on and becoming empowered in what to wear.

A colour book with.... no colour!
I was expecting this book to help me to see and choose which colours suit me best. Perhaps a page of colours that I could hold up to my face to see if i'm winter, spring, summer or autumn. Nope! Not one single colour, nor drawing in the whole book! How can you create a book about colour without putting a single colour in there! Why not show a page of the shades of red rather than trying to describe them. It was so difficult to know the tones and hues the author is talking about as I don't know all the names of all the shades of each colour. I feel just as lost with regards to what colours suit me as i was before i read it. It basically just leaves you to decide for yourself by trying to pick out the tone of colour in your skin. It's a bit over the top in places too, claiming that people have transformed their lives just by wearing a colour the same shade of their skin.

A must-have guide (Stylist and everyone)
Amazing! This book is a key asset as a stylist. If you want to know more about the colour theory. I hardly recommend this book. The author goes a step further analysing colours, and how they can affect personality. Also, his easy application to day life and explanations make the book a guide that everyone can use. There are not photos, but there is no need for them.
