I want any skeptics to know this is a quality well-built product. I bought the Artist Pro 16, and it is perfect for my needs. I will preface my review by saying that I had bought and returned the smaller 13 inch version because the size was just too small for my liking. Other than its size, it was good quality too. But this 16 inch one is perfect, and includes a shortcut remote in the box. You can buy the remote separately from XPen but it’s nice that everything’s included. Build quality of the tablet is really solid and everything is packaged in a pro way that makes you feel like you’ve bought something decent with your money. Seriously , it’s slick. I debated over saving up for a Cintiq, but given I had seen the quality of the 13 inch prior, I figured why not just save my money and get an XPen that’s a little bigger. I’ve heard so many people say the Cintiq is the best, and sadly I can’t compare as I’ve never owned one. But just judging the product on its own, it is certainly clear that XPen puts some pride into what they produce. This isn’t junk. The pressure sensitivity is very good. The responsiveness seems slightly laggy but I’m using this on a Surface which might be the real culprit. Even with that it’s good enough! I have an IPad Pro and it’s much more snappy, but that snappiness isn’t what matters as much as the overall experience. I prefer this over the iPad Pro. The screen surface has that perfect friction that a glass screen just can’t touch. The brightness control is good, though I wish it could go even darker than the darkest setting. Color range is decent, and the resolution is crisp. Set up was beyond simple. It defaults to Adobe settings so if that’s what you use, it’s got a pretty good settings profile out of the box as far as shortcuts. I primarily use Krita, but the XPen software is similar to Wacom Intuos (which I own) in that you can easily change these settings to your liking. The little settings remote is so good I don’t think I’d ever go back to not having one of these things. Simple, small, and has just the right amount of buttons with different shapes that you can just feel by touch and know what you’re pressing. Extremely intuitive . Anyway, I just love this product and it’s made me excited to get back into digital drawing after using screen-less tablets. On that note, I’ve heard people promote simple screenless tablets to help your neck by not needing to look down. All you need to do is get a decent tablet holder that has a lot of angles of motion and you shouldn’t have to look down. I did this and I find the end result is the best combination for drawing you can get. Or you can splurge on a fancy arm that you can adjust .

I draw for hobby. Pro 2k 60 hertz screen 15.6 No parallax Mobile setup Works with thunderbolt 4 and usb-c capable video though Single cable. HDMI cable 3 in 1 came with it. Great for beginner/ moderate art users. Pressure is amazing, don’t need to change settings unless you’re a specialist like a calligrapher or inking in comics. Even then it’s very responsive. Lag is more pc than device, my laptop has hiccups but my pc has none. It’s very good. Con No touch support No port pass through At full 100 backlight it heats up. Near port behind screen. Not uncomfortable but hot. I work in a dark environment so my lights low like 20 % not bad at heat then. Heat is upward near screen not rear panel, my table is cool. Also leave the system plugged in for a moment before trying turning on screen. It worked on both my work pc’s with one cable. It took to turn on 10, 15 minutes before initial start up. You can and should recalibrate with natural drawing posture if you change areas often. Keeps parallax in check. Personally, it’s been a goal to have a good drawing monitor. I feel like it’s a good investment. If I find issues I will add on to my review. So far it’s been a joy to use, for hours on end. Breaks recommended but I been drawing all day. Colors are vibrant but usable for image editing and print/ color checking. If you can check around Christmas or lunar new years for discounts or sales. Amazon shipped carefully. Recommend an extra felt nibs refill. It’s nice. I wish I bought it sooner. It’s so smooth to the touch. So far I genuinely like it.

I got the Tablet sooner than the expected delivery date, which was a big plus. It came in a big carton box well packaged. Inside the box it came the Artist 15.6 tablet, the Pen, a Pen holder with 8 pen nibs, the 3 in 1 cable, HDMI, and Black usb for PC, and Red usb connector for AC Power or PC, and the USB C type for the Artist 15.6. There is also an AC adapter for the usb red cable with different types of adapters depending on your wall socket. You can find also the HDMI to Mini Display adapter, there is also the Manual, the CD driver, and a fouling glove. The tablet is really big and slim, It already has the Mate Screen Protector, the downside of the protector is that you’re gonna get some scratches because of the Pen Pressure Sensitivity, it’s 8192 levels, so you have to press hard and that's when your screen protector will scratch, but this won't bother you when you're using it. The Pen has the 8192 levels mentioned before, it’s slim, it feels good in my hand, and it’s Battery free, so that's great for me. The downside is that your pen nibs are gonna be torn out soon, well, it also depends on how hard you put your hand on the screen. For that, my solution was to Remove the Screen Protector, the pen is not gonna scratch the screen and the pen nibs are not gonna suffer anymore. The driver works good on my Windows 10 PC and with my Surface 3, once you install it, you can map your 6 shortkeys and your pen. On your PC/Mac, in the Monitor Configuration, it’s better you set it as 100%. So far, I’ve been using Sketchbook Pro, Sculptris, ArtRage and Moho 12, in all of them, the tablet performs really well, the only inconvenience is with the Pen Toggle for the eraser using Sketchbook Pro, but other than that, it’s been great, I just mapped the pen buttons to other functions. Pros: -Portable: USB Powered, I hook the tablet to my Surface 3, and I use a Battery Power Bank, 2.1A and 7000 mAh and it works away from the socket wall, it's also really light and slim and easy to carry. -Shortkeys and Battery free Pen. -Large working area. Cons: -No stand (not a problem for me) I bought one from Maxell really cheap. -Mate Screen Protector will scratch a lot and pen nibs will suffer (solution is to remove the screen protector) -Pen toggle Eraser/Brush don't work in Sketchbook Pro. I think the Pros are more important than the Cons for me with this tablet, I needed a portable tablet and this is awesome for that, I haven't had any problems with the driver and the programs I use: Sketchbook Pro, Sculptris and ZBrush. This is a great alternative if your budget is a little tight like mine.

Very good product! It worked almost perfect in all programs that I used ( zbrush, maya, 3dmax, blender, Substance Painter, unreal, Paintstorm studio,kuadro, krita and Gimp). I loved that it can program the express keys to every software that I need diferently and that it worked too with just the tablet monitor on and my laptop screen closed. The xp pen driver was easy and simple to configure and the calibration worked from the start. I had minor problems with the pen button in maya it was not working properly the second button that I like to use like the right mouse button - just in maya this was occuring - I press the button and it don't stay pressed the time I need to go to the painel in software. The fix was very simple, just change the first pen button to be the right one and the second to be used like the middle mouse button and it works right now. Another little problem is when I would like to use the laptop screen closed and with just the xp pen screen work in maya, to be able to use all hotkeys I turn on the virtual keyboard in windows 10 and use it with the express keys of the tablet, it works but some times it seems to make the keyboard stop in one key pressed (alt or ctrl most of time) and change the left mouse button to this key. I was able to fix this in two ways, first try to save the file in maya and go to another program that you have program another express keys in mouse or second way is restart the pc. I tried to refresh the driver but I was not able to find this option ( xp pen you need to make this for the driver) and if I try to exit the driver it stops the pen and dont open the driver anymore till restart of the win 10. This just gave me a little bit of trouble to turn back but have occured to me just two or three times. Paintstorm studio had a new update (2.20) the second day that I was using the xppen and it made the the pen pressure be lost, for this one I had to re-instal the xp pen driver and it worked perfect again, the pressure, but some brushes are not working and I suspect is the update problem not the tablet. The pressure works like a charm and I loved use this with zbrush 3D sculpt. For drawing it is like to be with a huge paper and feels like it because the screen have a texture and it is matte. The paralax with screen exist but is not something that worry me, you just forget about it with some time. The driver have a lot of options to personalise the express keys, use keyboard keys, make it change to second screen with a press of buttom or turn on your fav software. I'm very happy with the investment that I made with this model and really would like in the future to get another with more express keys because I was used to the keyboard but now I just want to use it with the screen closed when I'm in front of the TV because it is very light and easy to stay just with xp pen and the laptop at the side closed or at the table with two screens.

i tend to research for hours before making bigger purchases. i find it kind of fun. so to pay back all the reviews that have helped me along the way, im writing this review, for a product i truly love, and am in no way shape or form been compensated for this review, or received any free items from the maker. i paid for my xp pen artist 15.6, and heres my to the point review. 5 stars. all day. I have used microsoft surface pro 3's and tried the surface studio at the microsoft store. this tablet is every bit as responsive, and fluid as those tablets. there is, one slight con to this tablet. well two.. first there is a slight difference in what you see, and what you touch. now wait!!! its not all that bad. truly. in fact, you're only going to notice it if you work flat with the tablet, on a table, without a stand, and with some distance due to sitting at a desk. in that case, the two furthest corners are gonna have a slight water effect, like seeing the fish in the water, and grabbing with your hand. the fish isnt where it looks like it is. thats what i mean. the two furthest corners, when laid flat will have this effect. even after calibrating, it still seems slightly off. now, easy fix!!! just buy a stand, and slightly tilt the tablet up, and this effect seems to be gone. or buy a two dollar three binder, and use it to slightly prop your tablet. i personally splurged for the stand right from xp pen, after i bought the tablet. and chose to buy there product for the stand, because i feel like for what they charge for the tablet, id happily spend another 50 for a perfect stand. it never shakes, and holds in place. im 300 lbs and push with a decent amount of pressure, and it doesnt budge. but back to the tablet. this tablet is every bit as good as a surface pro3 and up, and way bigger. ive never used wacom, but ive researched that microsoft surface used the same technology as wacom, and even had some of their old people. so as far as i know, they are very close in performance. when my surface pro 3 died, microsoft wouldnt even work on my tablet!!!!!! instead, my only choice is pay 799 before tax, to upgrade to surface pro 4. but, it had same exact specs as my now dead surface pro 3. that tablet lasted 2 years before it died, and cost me 1000 dollars, and if bought at best buy 1400. this tablet was 350 plus tax. stand another 50. i bought a rebuilt computer that blows away the surface pro 3 specs i had, for 400. so i spent less than my cheapest opition to replace my piece of junk microsoft product, with new crucial memmory of 32 gb, a i5 newer generation than sp3, and all around better specs including ssd. and external 2gb hdd. so, dont be a microsoft fan boy, like i was, to be their whipping boy when their crappy products fail. but this. and dont be a fool and spend a thousand more dollars, or 4x the cost of this tablet for a wacom. and still need a computer. any one looking to buy a surface pro 3 or wacom, come here instead. i love this thing. and have no reason or anything to gain, by my honest review. one last thing, this has a matte finish. i removed the plastic on the screen, ive read people sometimes leave it on, for more of a matte finish, but i find its plenty matte enough without the plastic. really feels like writing on paper, where as the surface pro 3 felt like writing on glass, and super glossy

I have the Artist Pro 16 Gen 1 and own a Cintiq Pro 17 (2023). The Wacom Cintiq Pro 17 is amazing and I got spoiled by its quality, it checks all the boxes for sure and since I wanted to replace my old Artist Pro the most obvious decision would be to get a Wacom product, but then I came across this Gen 2 model and got curious. Read tons of reviews and went back and forth with perhaps getting another Cintiq Pro 17 or getting the new Movink 13, or the 16Tp, then came across some other different models from Huion and the list got really big really fast. This seemed to be a good option but people were complaining about accuracy and how the pen was overrated and all the other stuff. After watching 15 or 20 videos and reading as many reviews, I thought about giving it a chance since the price had dropped during Prime Day and then… omg, I was surprised. It is accurate, as accurate as my Wacom. It feels great, probably as great as my Wacom if not greater, response time is more than acceptable and screen quality is bright and colorful. Even the accessory that comes with it is amazing. Like, seriously. People complain a lot, I like functionality and it checks all the boxes. Overall, it doesn’t matter if you’re a professional artist or just started learning about digital art, photography or video editing, the Artist Pro 16 Gen 2 will probably exceeds your expectations for a price that makes it accessible without compromising on absolutely anything! Just buy it and forget about all the haters. The new pen is fantastic, by the way. I don’t care about how many levels of pressure it has, I care about how it feels and responds and it exceeded my expectations and being honest, feels better than my apple Pen 2024 and as good as my Wacom Pro Pen 3. In short, pen is great, response is great, quality is great, response time is great, brightness is great, weight is great, drawing experience is OUTSTANDING and connectivity is as simple as it gets (I’m using the 3 cable adapter). Highly recommended product for professionals, enthusiasts, amateurs, hobbyists, and pretty much anybody else considering getting a new drawing tablet or display. Just go for it because you will love it.

This review is for XP Pen Artist Pro 16 Gen 2. I have an iMac with Sonoma update on it and downloaded the most recent XP Pen drive from their website. It seems with all tablets there’s an hour of monkeying around with settings to get things right and this was no exception, but eventually got it right. The clarity of this screen is gorgeous (you can see a photo I took of a raster image ,(I originally made in Adobe Fresco) on the display. it is just about as refined as my iMac retina. Which is what I have it connected to. Pen responds beautifully to screen. Colors are vibrant. The three other tablet displays I tried don’t even come close. I bought and returned a Huion Kamvas Pro 16 2.5k, a Huion Kamvas 22 Plus, and an XP Pen Artist 24 Pro 2k. Out of those three the Huion Pro 16 was adequate but it could not be set up for left hand mode (tried everything so don’t bother suggesting). So glad I sent all three back because this one is by far the best. No on-tablet controls so screens don’t have to be rotated and nothing touches your hands or wrists as you move around the display. It comes with a Bluetooth keypad but I prefer my small keyboard that came with iMac to use all the smart key controls with. Pen is the most ergonomic and the feel of the rubber is smooth and cool to the touch. No real holder for the pen but so what. I put it in an old Wacom pen holder from my days of using a pen tablet. Use a small glass with a piece of felt in the bottom. The box is beautiful and it was delivered two days after I ordered it.

This tablet, when it works, is wonderful. It has a nice large display, smooth surface, and professional feel. However, if you want it to work for more than 5 minutes at a time, you're out of luck. To add insult to injury, XP-Pen's customer service is an absolute joke and it's very obvious that English is not their first language. This thing has caused me nothing but headaches for over a month. Toyed with it for an hour or so each night after receiving it but once I was able to sit down and try to draw for more than 1 hour, that's when all of my problems began. The tablet would work for a decent period of time, then just completely stop responding. The express buttons on the tablet would stop working, the screen would freeze and wouldn't even register the pen. Nothing would fix it except unplugging it and plugging it back in to the computer but if that didn't work then you're left retrying this again and again until it would finally register and start responding, only for it to crap out and freeze yet again 5 minutes later. After asking for help directly from XP-Pen's customer service, they seemed genuinely interested in finding my problem and fixing it. Their first few emails walked me through some basic issues, made sure it was all plugged in properly, replaced my cord "under warranty" when they thought I had a faulty cord, and even supplied me with an older driver to try. Nothing worked. I kept expressing my frustrations because I spent over $300 on something that doesn't even work for more than 5 minutes, and I was ignored for 5 days without a response to my latest cry for help. So I went to Amazon's customer service and asked if there was anything that could be done, and Amazon sent me a replacement straight away. Received the replacement and happily opened it up and figured all my problems would disappear since I thought I had a faulty unit the first time around. Not two minutes into trying the new tablet, it stops responding and does the same old song and dance as the last one. I decided to give up on this tablet entirely and just send it back. I emailed XP-Pen to update them on the fact that not one but two tablets had the same issues so I was just going to send it back and call it quits. They immediately responded and asked for a screen share so that they could see what was going on. Alright, fine, but why didn't y'all ask for that 25 emails ago?? I let them take over my screen to test, do a couple of tests on Windows Ink, they tell me that Photoshop CS2 is too old to work with this tablet, and then end the session. Now, I have used Photoshop CS2 for a very long time but jumped on the chance at the free openCanvas 7 software with my purchase of this tablet so I have both installed. Both programs cause the freeze but their lovely customer service person was adamant that CS2 was my problem and ended our chat assuming all of my problems were solved. I email them back and say that my problem hasn't been fixed, and both programs cause the non-responsive issue in the tablet. They ask for another screen share session, tell me all I have to do is end the Pentablet application in Task Manager when it's acting up and then re open it, then they closed the screen share session again. Guess what? Tablet still freezes and I'm not any closer to finding out what's wrong with it than I was a month ago. So I spent over a month trying everything to get this stupid thing to work, emailing back and forth with people who can barely speak my language and have no idea how to help me with THEIR OWN PRODUCT. I have officially returned this waste of money and can't see myself ever purchasing another XP-Pen product again.

I have been using this product for more than a month now, Really great for first time Tablet Buyers. Before this, I had a non display tablet from XP Pen. Pros: -Pen is Smooth, the felt nibs add a bit more friction than the plastic nibs, I really like it. -Square-ish screen allows formore screenspace allowing UI of apps like Photoshop & Clip studio paint to show clearly, and does not interfere with canvas size. -The remote is really good too, took a while to get used to it, but it's worth it. -Kind of Cons: One thing is that the colors of the screen are too satursted right out of the box. Hence, U will need to do color Calliberation, by looking some YouTube video on how to do it. U can use reference of your own Phone, since most phones are AdobeRgb nowadays, and can adjust the screen colors using Windows Color Calliberation app. Overall it's a good buy, it's my first screen tablet, I am really satisfied with it up untill now. Tenia tiempo buscando una tableta para dibujar. La XPen ha sido una de mis mejores compras, me hubiera gustado tal vez comprar una un poco más pequeña ya que esta luego es difícil de transportar, pero es precisa, amigable al usuario, y simplemente me encanta. Es fácil de usar y la pluma es cómoda.

He estado usando wacom y huion, pero esta es mil veces mejor. Los colores cumplen, no tiene ese tono azul que cansa la vista. Tenia problemas con el boton de la pluma, hable con tecnicos y me dieron un driver nuevo y se soluciono. La textura de la pantalla se siente como papel. Tiene buen brillo, no se calienta la pantalla. La calidad de la pluma es de lo mejor, tiene piezas de aluminio, plastico lujoso y buen peso, tiene una genialidad que no he visto en ninguna pluma, el grip tiene una hendidura, quenpor que esgenial esto? Pues le da mas agarre, eso sirve a que no solo se detiene dnelos botones, sino da mas firmeza. Eso con el tiempo evita la friccion y que el grip se afloje y baile todo guango. La pluma tiene menor latencia que otras que haya usado con anterioridad. Los tonos son elegantes, el diseño de la caja muy bonito. Fue molesto esperar el cable triple para por usarlo por hdmi. Lo uni a un cable adaptador display port sin problemas. A una escala .de 125% en windows se ve muy bien en clipstudio. Tiene mas altura vertical que tabletas convencionales, por lo que diseñar personajes de pie no se siente claustrofobico. Los botones de blutooth es un plus, te permite no usar el teclado y mas ergonomico. Recomiendo comprar una base soporte para libros o laptops que son altos y ajustas angulos de aluminio ya que mantienes la pantalla mas cerca a ti sin tener que encorbarte hacia enfrente. Definitivamente me hizo vender la Huion 24 pro sin pensarla dos veces.

This is literally my first pen display and I’m absolutely stunned by how good this is. I honestly thought using a pen display is going to be a little bit different to use compared to drawing on paper, and it will take me some time to get used to it, but wow, from the first try and I already feel at home, it feels like drawing on paper, I had no issues using it, but just connected the display to my MacBook Pro and started using it. I totally recommend this to anyone interested in using a pen display for 3D modeling, sculpting, texturing and drawing.

My Daughter loved it. She's studying arts and i got her this one for her drawing projects.
