Great for Grafting Limbs
I bought this most awesome tree tape to wrap my trees and protect them from the elements. So far, is works great and I was even able to graft a limb from a part of the tree the broke off using this tape. Pretty good solution. I would buy it again, if I needed to.

Good quality
Use this every year except this year, was not available on Amazon unless you wanted to pay $30 a roll. Had to find another product.

Use disposable gloves and place out of reach of pets and kids
The wrap does not adhere to itself. The tanglefoot goo is required to attach wrap to the tree. This is an extremely messy operation. Recommend using disposable gloves when working with the tanglefoot goo. Also recommend putting wrap high enough from ground to keep pets, or kids, from accessing the wrap and goo. My first wrap was about 18" above the ground and our dog got into the goo. Was able to move wrap, and goo, to about 48" above ground (very messy) but high enough dog could not access. Still trying to remove goo from dog fur.

Great banding for many uses.
I used this to help support limbs on a young lemon tree that has over 60 lemons on it. This is it's 5th year of fruiting for me. Last year there wasn't one lemon on the tree due to weather conditions. This being July 1, there is still a long growing period ahead and the limbs will snap without support as they are now horizontal with the ground. I've been supporting them with other methods but felt the tree limbs needed to have support by wrapping the tree. The post is still needed and is a tall one....so I placed nails in the post from top to mid way.....Starting with the lowest limbs, I folded the end of the paper and nailed it to a low point on the post...wrapped the lowest limbs by encircling the tree...took a turn around the post and wrapped the same way until all the limbs were supported...I finished by folding the end of the paper and using a staple to secure it to the top part of the post. Had to use a scissors to cut the paper....held firm the whole way. I'm extremely pleased and highly recommend this product.

Not quite stuck in the middle.
This was very difficult to apply to my trees. The instructions suggest masking tape but did not work once my sprinklers came on. You will need to apply the goop to create a base for some form of remaining in place. I recommend you have more than the smaller Tanglefoot goop on hand if you have several trees targeted for use.

Saves my Tree from Winter weather
Planted a Dogwood 3 years ago. Harsh winter weather started to wear on the bark. Used this wrap and it saves my Tree from harsh winter weather.

Terrible Product
I used as directed to wrap trees to keep ants off with the Tanglefoot sticky on top of the banding tape. I tucked the banding as instructed on all my fruit trees then applied the sticky stuff on top as instructed. That evening the banding had come off all trees and was on the ground. Waist of time and $. I watched videos of experienced gardeners with fruit tree ant problems. They recommended the Tanglefoot sticky glue but not the banding. Instead they said to use "Flagging Tape," it stretches and holds tight when tucked in.

Works great!
This wrap works great! Disregard negative reviews of and similar products by people who clearly don't know how to use this type of tape. For example, you DO NOT use any type of glue or adhesive with this tape as one reviewer said. And you don't start wrapping from the top as another person said. You simply start wrapping from the bottom of the trunk, overlapping each round about 1/3rd or 1/2 the width of the wrap while using moderate tension. It's the overlap that holds it on, not goo. YOU SHOULD NOT USE GOO of any type with tree wrap! For the last turn (at the top), use some waterproof tape. Wrap it around the last turn of tree wrap a couple times. That's all there is too it. I just did it to a young tree with about a 5" diameter trunk that was about 7 feet high in less than three minutes. It worked beautifully. It's so simple that I'm amazed that some people make it seem like it's rocket science. The roll did that tree with a couple feet to spare which I just wrapped several times around the top before taping. It worked so well that I just ordered more for another tree.
