at first when I got this product delivered and smelt it straight from the bottle I gagged. It smelled like a man’s cologne and was so strong. I am a girl and I like to smell like a girl I wanted something that smelled more like linen or floral. I decided to give my stinky workout clothes And towels a good wash in this just to see, and I am obsessed. The overly strong man cologne smell, turned into a subtle amber and musk scent. I just washed some towels and clothes yesterday so I’m not sure about the longevity. Also, my daughter works in a restaurant so she needed something that took away the restaurant smell and this did the trick my towels and my workout clothes are soft and super clean. And yes, this is a little bit expensive but I only put a tiny bit in my HE washing machine so I’m expecting it to last quite a while. I just ordered the classic laundry detergent so I will see how that goes.

I love everything about Laundress, and this scent is the best. It not only cleans your laundry but also smells amazing. It's nice to have a clear detergent. As silly as it sounds, when I use this detergent, I feel like I'm preserving the quality of my clothes.

The Laundress Signature Isle Detergent has completely upgraded my laundry routine. The first thing you notice is the beautiful, fresh scent — clean, light, and just the right amount of fragrance to make clothes smell amazing without being overpowering. Even days after washing, the scent lingers softly. It cleans exceptionally well, leaving fabrics feeling fresh and soft without any residue. I’ve used it on everything from everyday clothing to delicate items, and it’s been gentle yet effective on all fabrics. A little goes a long way, so even though it’s a premium detergent, it lasts longer than you’d expect. I also appreciate that it’s plant-derived and free from harsh chemicals, making it a safer choice for both my family and the environment. It feels like a small luxury that makes a big difference in something I do every week. If you want your laundry to smell and feel like it’s fresh from a boutique hotel, this detergent is worth every drop.

4 stars because it’s $$$ but this does smell great. The marine activewear smells more masculine, less floral which I wasn’t quite expecting. I think I was expecting a more herbaceous, fresh scent. Regardless, I do like the smell and so does the family. I’ll notice a waft coming from the kids as we walk the dogs. It’s pleasant. I found washing normally, with a small amount on a low soil wash, cold water cycle definitely boosts the scent, but may defeat the deep cleans active wear purpose a little bit. It’s not a big bottle, but still worth the “I feel like fun fancy laundry scent” thing we did the last two months.

This is truly a strange product. Its main advertising feature is that it rids your sweaty athletic clothing of body odor. Well, I agree -- it does seem to do that. But it is NOT a flowery fragrant soap-like detergent. The ingredients include bergamot oil which is oil of a bitter orange. (Think Earl Grey tea -- its special ingredient is also bergamot orange). Anyhow, you only need a few drops of this product. It doesn't foam up, and your hands will become so oily that you will need paper towels to wipe your hands after washing your clothes in the sink. I haven't used the product in the washing machine, and I don't intend to because of its oiliness. The fragrance is slightly orangey, which is pleasant -- but by the time you rinse the oil out of your fabric (perhaps four rinses) the orange scent is gone. In defense of this product: It has not harmed my clothing. The oil has not changed the color of the garments. The body odor is gone, but not replaced by any noticeable pleasant fragrance. In other words, it does what it said it would.

I got the classic fragrance first to try it out and it is a great gentle fragrance. I am extremely sensitive to fragrance smells and more so during allergy season. But this one does not bother me at all and smells great. Clothes come out fresh and soft.

My five star review is for the product itself but not so much for scent. The product does in fact leave a long lasting scent. I used both the detergent and conditioner/ softener and I definitely notice my blankets are nice and soft as well as them having a very strong scent. I got the classic scent however I’m not a fan of the scent itself. It smells a lot like an incense shop which I personally don’t like. I’ll be purchasing from the brand again, however I’ll be picking a different scent.

I really love the scent. Cleaned the clothes well. No skin irritation noted. Good size bottle. Will buy again
