Just what I wanted
Disclaimer: I'm down to one far from perfect eye, so my review will intentionally avoid matters of image quality, as I'm hardly qualified to judgeI've had this monitor for two weeks now. I needed more screen real estate than my 27" flat could provide, so I gave this a shot. I realized once it arrived that it was almost exactly the size of two 27" monitors side by side, for some perspective. The included stand is very sturdy. It's heavy, has a broad base, and an adjustable VESA standard mount, and I quickly replaced it with an arm mount because it simply took too much of my limited desk space (yes, I have more monitor space than desk space). But it's not a bad stand if you don't mind its legs sprawling across the desk.Brightness is good, although I haven't had to have this in anything like direct sunlight. Unlike my last monitor, an Acer which didn't want to display anything until the computer had been sending a video signal for a minute or two. this doesn't fail to work because of power saving features and just turns on. I have no complaints with the picture, not that I'm difficult to please there.I'm thinking about buying a second one for a ton of screen space, which is about the highest recommendation I can give to something I've owned for two weeks.Something for PC gamers to remember: if you're playing games in the max screen resolution, it's pretty taxing on the hardware. With the same graphics settings on Cyberpunk, going from the 27" monitor on 1440p to 5120 x 1440 on this dropped my FPS from about 170 to 70

Good budget value ultra wide monitor
The screen may be of lesser quality compared to other wide screens greater than 40”, but for the value it’s a great introductory into the landscape of ultra wide gaming by a well known brand.

Worked OK for 6 months
First off, its way to short. Not the stand but the screen area itself. The actual screen is as tall as a 17 or maybe 24" monitor. Coming from 3x 27" its very unsatisfying. While I only lost 640px width wise from triples and gained 360 vertically, I lost 2" of vertical screen space. I have dealt with the 49" Samsungs before and they are much much better than this thing. *** EDIT: I previously posted the monitor doesn't connect to PC on boot or reboot but this turned out to be a video card issue. I though my 3080Ti had all the latest BIOS updates as I have had it connected to 9 other DisplayPort monitors and never had issues but for some reason, it just didn't like this monitor. I ran the DisplayPort firmware update available on nVidias website and haven't had any issues since. The color is good, and I havent noticed any ghosting yet but I do have other VA panels so maybe I am used to it. Overall a good monitor but while 45" sounds big, its pretty small due to the aspect ratio so do your research on 45" monitors as there are 2 types of screen layout. ** ***6 month update*** The LED backlighting on the far right side now flickers randomly and the whole monitor goes completely black at random times while gaming. It will start, then happen 20-25 times over the next 30 minutes, then will work OK for another 30-40 minutes and start it up again. I have new HDMI cables and none of the other monitors I have swapped into this station do it, Gigabyte 27" 165Hz, Acer 35" 144Hz and an LG Ultragears 27". SO disappointed, when I had to send in my Acer 35" for warranty shipping was almost $350, I cant imagine how much this POS would cost to ship in for warranty. I could likely buy another monitor for that price. I have 4 LG TVs, LG Refrig, Every phone since the G3 and 2 other LG monitor and this was the worst product experience I have had with LG

Love it!
Beautiful! Arrived safely and quickly! Exactly what I need for my home office. Mounted it on a single arm monitor mount to save desk space. Definitely registering the monitor and purchased the warranty just in case.

In a word... AWESOME!
I bought this monitor to replace a 24" that I moved to a different location and I wanted access to a wider screen to compare functionality. First thing, I connected this to my apple mini via an HDMI cable and although it worked, the aspect ratio was no where near what I wanted and needed it to me. So, I checked the instructions and realized that it was a totally different cable that I needed. Once I purchased the correct cable, BAM, game changer. The ratio increased big time! It went from 1920 x 1080 via HDMI to a whopping 5120 x 1440 with the correct cable. if you are going to get a large screen like this, I suggest that one read the instructions completely FIRST!Great value for the money that I paid and I would DEFINITELY purchased another one, if the need arose! and it just might! it is a gorgeous screen with a whole lot of screen space. I have it hooked up to some Bose desktop speakers, don't use the screen speakers at all. The clarity is great when watching a youtube video, watching a movie or editing some personal videos of my own with different software.
