Bought this as a bathroom heat lamp. I've lived in my apartment for 8 or so years now and my heat lamp burned out within the first year or two. Finally made an effort to buy a new one to replace the existing lamp. This lamp provides a moderate amount of heat that isn't overwhelming... and a wonderful amount of light. It has made such a difference that my girlfriend has been taking more baths purely to relax under the warmth. Highly recommend.

Powerful, bright The heat lamp fits a standard socket and is a little longer length than others.

I bought this in the overhead can receptacle in my bathroom. It really warms the bathroom nicely without making it too hot too fast. It's also bright, but at a comfortable. It doesn't hurt my eyes. Also I can leave this on for hours at a time when it's cold here and it keeps my bathroom comfortable, not too toasty warm, but warm. I can also leave it on while I'm in the bathroom applying makeup and it's not uncomfortable as a higher wattage bulb would create too much heat to stay in the bathroom to apply makeup.If for health purposes you wanted it hotter, get a bulb with more wattage. I'm quite sensitive to heat and tend to be chilly, so the bulb raises the heat to comfortable level in my small bathroom.

Filament burnt out after literally 10 seconds.

This works well in older ceiling heat lamp in bathroom.
