This carbon/filter does a very nice job of keeping our dog bubbler watering system clean and working nicely. I have used this for several years, and will keep using as long as they are available. I will order again.

Love the Dogit Fountain. The 3 pack of fillers makes is a cost-effective means of assuring that you've got the filters you need on hand when you need them. The instructions for the fountain are to replace the filter every 3 weeks, or sooner if when you're cleaning the fountain (once a week) you notice that it contains debris -- such as pet hair or food particles. Some reviewers have noted that the filters cause there to be charcoal flakes in the water. I prepped the filter the way that I would the filter for a Brita or Pur Pitcher, and have had zero charcoal in my dog and cat's Dogit Fountain. The tip is that prior to using the filter to rinse it by holding it under a medium stream of tap water for approximately 30 seconds, and to then place the filter in a bowl of filtered water for 15 minutes. You will probably have to initially submerge it by holding it down in the bowl of water for a second or two until the water molecules replace the air molecules in the filter so that it doesn't just float on the water. After 15 or so minutes, just rinse the filter for a few seconds and then it's ready for use. I highly recommend filling your Dogit Fountain reservoir with filtered water as this will be the healthiest and best-tasting for your animals.

We have two of these water bowls. I’m glad to see its easier to get the filters. My major issue with the bowl is that it is very difficult to clean, I end up with a toothbrush scrubbing, you can’t remove the pump so we haven’t been able to put in the dishwasher which I think would solve the issue. I would suggest they make it so you can remove the pump. On the positive side its quite.

Great product. Easy to clean, easy to fill (you don't even have to take it to the sink - just pour water in until it gets to the marks) The dogs love having fresh,FILTERED,circulating water. When I had a big bowl of water on the floor for them, it would get dirt and hair in it over the day, and looked yucky. Now, their water is fresh. One thing to know - you need to clean the PUMP once per week or so, especially if you have long-haired dogs. The entrance where the water enters the pump can beome clogged with dog hair, etc and the pump won't work. This is spelled out in the instructions. It's very easy to clean it - just pull off the front cover and rinse it off. You'll notice that the water isn't being moved as fast when the pump is starting to get clogged. Also, this product is QUIET. Have recommended them to my dog friends who have gotten the product and also love it. Another benefit - my dogs drink more water, which is healthy for them.

I love the Dogit Fountains. But I have found in the months I have owned them the pumps seems to burn out really fast. That is probably because if the water goes low and it is at night it will still run and that is what burns the pump out. I am just glad they do sell the replacement pumps so I did not have to buy the whole foundtain. I have now put all the fountain pumps on timers so they go off at night when the dogs are sleeping. I just started this so I hope this will solve that problem.

The Zeus H2EAU filters are expensive so I tried these as an alternative. They are 3/4 thinner than the Zeus filters and don't quite fit the fountain perfectly. There's a bit of an overlap so you'll have to squash it down a bit. It depends on your water source/treatment on how often you'll need to replace these. They're a nice cheaper alternative but only time will tell if I need to replace them more frequently than the brand name Zeus filters.

I ordered this as a replacement. The original has lasted a year and a half, and thanks to the previous review about living the impeller, it lives again! The new pump hasn't been delivered yet, due to Amazon's insistence on using the postal service for prime shipping. It is late, so I saw the other review and decided to try it. It was very easy to remove and clean. Less than 5 minutes and the pump was working better than ever! It also fixed the intermittent power pack issue, this was a pleasant surprise. So if the USPS ever gets their head out of a certain orifice, I'll have a spare.

First of all, this is our 2nd Dogit Big Dog Fountain. The original lasted more than two years and was replaced because the water reservoir top rim cracked and broke off in a large splinter. The pump worked great.It was more cost effective to buy an entirely new fountain. This new fountain purchased May 2017 has a smaller pump and it died...completely dead...after four months.I ordered this replacement and it's too big! It is the original which would be great IF IT FIT. Sadly it doesn't. It will be returned.What's worse is the manufacturer is terribly difficult to work with. Pulling teeth is more pleasant. They insist I send them my non-working pump to be inspected before they will replace it (still under warranty). Really? Who has time to do this when then pump couldn't cost more than $5 their cost. Honor your customer! So frustrating.
