Just what I wanted
I'm very happy with this little amp. I needed a simple single-source amp to amplify my laptop output to the Dali Zensor speakers in my little study - I use them for video conferencing and low-volume background music whilst working at home. I wanted to save desk space, as my old full-sized Cambridge amp took up too big a footprint. Also, the tiny little blue "on" LED on my Cambridge wasn't prominent enough, so I would often finish working and forget to switch it off - it wasted a lot of heat! I wanted an amp that made it very clear that it was switched on. So, from a practical point of view: - The Fosi has a prominent (and very cool) illuminated VU meter reminiscent of old 70's hi-fi - I can't fail to notice that I've left it on. - It doesn't get even slightly warm in use - and neither does the line lump transformer. - It takes up only about 5% as much space as the Cambridge. As an amplifier, it performs very well - the sound is clear, slightly warm and perfect for my purposes. I tried it powering some large transmission line speakers and it coped well, but don't expect it to perform at high volume in a large room, as it's quite low powered. It's nicely made, good-looking and the controls are smooth in operation. The Bluetooth works faultlessly and if anything sounds better than the line feed from my laptop. If I have a gripe, it's not with the machine itself, but the silly way the output power has been advertised. 200 watts - come off it! Even if we believe the headline figure, 200 is the power from both channels into 4 ohms. It's more common to state the power per channel into 8 ohms, which is the impedance of most home speakers. So, stated more honestly, the power is actually 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Even then, the blurb states "max power output" - amps are usually rated on RMS power which comes out MUCH lower. I've owned many amps, and I'd estimate from my ears that this one is around 20-25 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms. Which is still amazing for such a tiny amp. Come on, Fosi - this is a good bit of kit, and we're not children to be impressed by big numbers. Give us honest specs, please! That said, I saw through the deception before buying and for my purposes this amp is perfect - hence not docking a star...

Budget amp ideal for bedroom set up, ultra compact system.
Bought this to replace Teac AH300 amp which needed repairs. My main amp downstsirs is a Yamaha AX 596. There are obviously tonal differences but I am not displeased. This has a warm sound, if you like it to be, as tone controls offer good control over the sound. For the bedroom set up it delivers an intimate sound but can push out the rock tracks on moderately paired speakers. The power rating is more likely PMPO rather than RMS but It happily runs bookshelf speakers such as the Tannoy Mercury's 2.5. I ran the amp through my BR6 Monitor audio's. but at high volumes it out of puff :-) love the warm Vu light and overall would recommend this as a compact amp. I bought an RCA connector box (Audio switch AUX 401) so i can run computer, c.d, ipod throught it. I think I would give it more stars if the power rating was more honest although for the size a little wonder.

Very impressed
Great product, even greater customer support. My first unit developed a fault with the bluetooth, after a couple of weeks it wouldn't output at any real volume level. After amazon failed to help, with their AI nonsense phone service ( what has happened) Fosi reached out, and honestly, this is a company that wants to help, they dealt with it, and sent a replacement unit. Disappointed with amazon, but fortunately fosi were brilliant. And the unit sounds great, easily powers, my polk elite 20s or my daughters Q 10s.

Hi-Fi Audio in Compact Package
Sound quality is comparable to my previous Marantz PM6005 and when considering this is only a fraction of the size and has built in Bluetooth, it’s certainly worthwhile. Although I doubt the Bluetooth codec is at the same level as “Lossless” audio, I have no complaints as it’s not a noticeable audible difference to the Lossless setups I’ve previously used. The Bluetooth connection is almost instant as soon as I switch on the device and I experience almost no latency when using the Fosi Audio MC101 with my phone. I tried several mini amplifiers before this one and they all generated significant static noise but could barely be heard with this. The aesthetics are wonderful with the VA meter providing a nice vintage touch to such a modern device.

Excellent teeny tiny amp!
Bought this so I could go through my un-played and neglected vinyl collection. Sound is really good for the size and price, Bluetooth works well too. The VU meter is a bit of decoration as far as I can see, the needle hardly moves, but it looks nice.

Bluetooth does not have AAC codec enabled
The Bluetooth on the Fosi Audio MC101 Amp I got from Amazon UK, did not have AAC enabled or available for use. See attached screenshot of CODEC abilities reported, both options are only given and reported as SBC, there is no option to connect via AAC codec (better sound). This was done using "Bluetooth Tweaker" software on PC and debug logs were sent to the dev also who confirmed same. Anyway, there you go, I'll send details on to Fosi directly also and see what they say. Otherwise the unit itself is really good, especially for the price. I'm using it as a preamp out into a Fosi Audio V3 (version 1) and it's perfect, again though, just a pity about the bluetooth not having AAC codec enabled. Edit: Through contact with Fosi Audio they've confirmed the issue and will be sending out a replacement unit with the AAC codec enabled/fixed on the Bluetooth chipset. Will test same when it arrives but thank you to Fosi for their prompt and honest replies, even during their New Year holiday season. Edit: March 2024 - Received replacement unit directly from Fosi Audio as they promised. Only took 6 days to arrive to me directly in Ireland from China, tracked all the way, took nearly a month though to arrive from Fosi Audio to the couriers in China, I guess they were performing the amendments to the newer MC101 units, so as to include the previously omitted AAC Bluetooth Codec. Regardless, new replacement MC101 has the AAC Bluetooth codec enabled and available for use, and works perfect. Thank you again to Fosi Audio support on here, great customer service, your customer support is a credit to your company and very much appreciated.

Outstanding amplifier
I ordered this as a bit of fun. It is outstanding! It now drives my full home TV/movie setup. The Bluetooth is good and easy, tone controls are very effective, and the VU meter is just cool! It's the footprint of a coaster, but can power any speaker with enough quality to shame much more expensive amps I have in the house. Fosi, I'm now a fan! Highly recommend.

It's alright, but....
I need something to my bookshelf speakers in my office. Negatives: Package was already opened, but seemed to be unused. Bass and trebble knobs were fitted wrong. The middle position had a dot on 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock Volume knob is wonky, as you turn it, is wobbling out of axle. 2x100 @4ohm is very optimistic. My Cambridge audio Amplifier 2x60w on 1/3rd of power was already a lot louder then fosi on 3/4 with distortion already and VU meter in red. VU meter moves only on loud volume, on normal listening office volume it doesn't move. I don't like too much bass, but to get the basic bass from music, the bass knob must be on maximum. Positives: It's cute and small. Very nice. VU meter is nice, it's just a shame that you won't benefit from it unless u crank up the music. For this money is so so. You can get better but also worse.

Ottimo e ragionevolmente economico. Suono dettagliato e realistico. Bluetooth affidabile.

4. Bluetoot performansı gayet iyi, bağlantı kurmak kolay, Iphone 8 ve Spotify Premium üzerinden BT testlerinde de beni gayet memnun etmeyi başardı. 5. Kendi adaptörüyle geliyor, flitreli prize takılı olmasına rağmen kendi üzerinden sesi biraz açınca ufak bir harmonik cızırtısı duyduğumu belirtmeliyim. Dinleme keyfine, ses kalitesine bir zararı yok ama filtreler kısmında biraz naçar kaldığını söylemek lazım. Keyifle müzik dinleyeyim ama servet harcamayayım, az yer kaplasın ve şık olsun diyorsanız ampliniz budur.

Small Amp, Big Vibes (Perfect for the Desk)
I’ve been messing with a lot of audio gear lately, and honestly, the Fosi MC101 is one of the coolest little units I’ve used. I’m currently using it in a smaller room with some old-school passive speakers, and it’s a total game-changer for a compact setup. Here’s the breakdown on what actually matters: Size & Build: This thing is tiny. Even in a small space it barely takes up any room. It feels solid with an all aluminum housing none of that cheap plastic feel. The VU Meter: Let’s be real, this is why you buy it. Watching that needle dance while you are jammin out is incredibly satisfying. It gives the whole setup a high-end, vintage look for less. Bluetooth & Range: It’s running Bluetooth 5.3, and the connectivity is rock solid. I can walk into the next room with my phone and it doesn't drop or stutter. Pairing is instant every time I flip the toggle. It’s surprisingly clean when it comes to sound. Even when I’ve got it turned up, I’m not hearing that annoying background hiss you get with cheap amps. The volume control is smooth, and having dedicated bass/treble knobs lets me dial it in for whatever I'm listening to. If you’re looking to bring some life back to old speakers or just want your desk to look legit, this is a no-brainer. It packs way more punch than you’d expect for the size.
