EmbassyTM Italian StoneTM Design Genuine Leather Backpack/Cart
I LOVE this and use it as a carry on when flying. It fits under the seat perfectly. I've had leather carry ons for years but they didn't last long. I was frequently buying new ones. I expect to use this new one for a very long time! It is made well, has all the usual pockets and compartments. It is made to stand up on its own, no matter what I put in it, which is always my laptop, Kindle Fire (before that just the Kindle reader), my cell phone with attached handset, all the charging cords, snacks, current crochet work and an extra shirt. It actually will hold more than that. The other leather carry ons I've had never stood up but had to lean against something because the laptop leans forward pulling it downward, even though it is always in the back of everything else. With this new Italian Stone Leather carry on it has a hard bottom so it stands perfectly! It looks smart and stylish and I've noticed people are always looking at it as I'm walking through the airport. It rolls very smoothly and has a well built telescopic handle. The back pack straps are neatly hidden and don't get in the way like the other cheaper leather carry ons I had. I highly recommend this leather backpack/cart/carry on to everyone.

Has Its Place
I've had one of these for about 15 years. I just ordered a new one. Why? Because it's perfect for a one night trip. AND, it fits in the overhead bin of the small regional jets so commonly used these days. Is it cheaply made? Yes. Do the zippers break? Yes. BUT, if you take reasonably good care of it and don't use it every day and abuse it, it will last a long time. One problem, though, is that if you use the wheels, the handle is much too short. Also works great as an extra case to carry toiletries when your suitcase is full.I would not recommend it for children or as an every day backpack, but it's great for a businessman who is traveling for 1-2 days.

EmbassyTM Italian StoneTM Design Genuine Leather Backpack/Cart - Perfect for Transporting Laptop
I wanted an inexpensive rolling "device" in which to transport my laptop to and from a location near my home, a device which would afford some protection for the laptop while it was in my car and which would be easy for me to lift to or from the car and then roll into the location. The EmbassyTM genuine leather backpack/cart fit my needs perfectly. For further padding/protection, I added a folded soft throw and slipped the laptop between the layers of the throw. There are long, narrow pockets on either side of the backpack, perfect for a soft drink or a small thermos. On the front there are 3 shallow pockets for carrying various supplies, plus a zippered section behind these pockets, which is where I put the power cord, etc., for my laptop. This backpack/cart rolls easily and stands upright on its own when I "park" it. I've not had my backpack/cart but a month or so, but so far it appears to be durable and well worth the price I paid.

Good quality and price
Used this backpack for my airline carry-on. When I didn't fill the side pockets it will easily meet the size requirements for many airlines. For one to two overnight trips the backpack has plenty of space for all my needs. The handle disappears into a zipped compartment and can be worn as a backpack. The reverse is true when the handle is raised the straps can be hidden in a Velcro pouch and not drag on the floor. The leather is of good quality and appeared to hold up well on the first trip I used it which lasted four weeks with many flights. I generally used it as a backpack and pulled by suitcase to the ticket counter. After security I rolled it to the gate with ease.

Backpack from a thrift shop holds up better than this!
It's roomy and looks nice at first glance. However, the handle at the top was already pulling away from the thin leather and I expect it ti tear away soon. The leather is so thin at the bottom of the backpack that the cardboard base is showing through around the edges. I used this backpack as carry-on for two airline trips and am not impressed. This was a waste of money. The rolling backpack I bought from a thrift shop for $3.75 held up better than this. I regret replacing it with this one which looks more professional but is poorer quality.

Very disappointed! I thought the leather was good and I ...

Was relieved to find it.
It was a replacement item for me. A driver thought the handle was automatic extension (which it was not on the older model), so he manhandled it to get the handle out when I was using it as a backpack and finally broke the handle. I'm not enamored with the changes to the front pockets, but I do like the extra longer pocket for file folders. I have gotten compliments on this bag for years. I don't know what I would do without it scurrying from building to building at library conventions. It lasts much longer than canvas bags, not to mention being much more attractive. It's not high-high-end, but you get bang for your buck, providing you don't treat it like a punching bag.

Perfect Carryon
This is my second purchase of this item. Purchased the first one a year ago and it has been everywhere with me...the first one is on its 48th country!! Rolls like a dream, easy access outside pockets and roomy inside pockets. After being dragged over all sorts of terrain, the first one began to get a little ragged around the base and wheels but it is still my "go to" bag for quick weekend or over night trips. Still looks great! I just wanted another one to give it a break. What goes in my bag? Up to three full changes of clothes, a pair of shoes, toiletries, my Nikon and 3 separate lenses, a utility bag with universal adapters and all my chargers, my Samsung tablet on top of everything, and a small handbag stuffed with underwear & socks. I stick a handbag in there so I'll have something to carry when I get to my destination. The side outside pockets - one have either a small bottle of water or snacks, gum & mints; the other has toiletries I need in flight and a hairbrush. The front pockets - top one has my little required plastic bag of liquids (easy access at airport) the bottom one has my cell phones and small amount of cash for taxis. I never have to open the bag to go through airport security. I stick either an umbrella or my monopod in the opening with the handle (does not impede up or down movement) and I am good to go for a long weekend trip up to 4 or 5 days. It does not get too heavy to carry as a backpack even when full.
