Bought this as a spare for our HQ Amara. It works great. The tension flap is a little different (this is flat and HQ has a slight flip at the edge). You have to take rubbing alcohol and clean the packing grease off ALL the surfaces….even under the tension flap (take it off and clean it and the housing). Work great!

Not made by HandiQuilter. Don't use in your HQ.My wife dropped her original bobbin case for her HQ Moxie longarm. So she asked me to get her a new one. I found this one that literally says it is an HQ case, the link to the HQ store is right at the top, and Amazon "recommended" it for HQ bobbin cases. Ordered it. Tensioned it. Put it in. Seemed to work at first.My wife doesn't long arm every day so it went out of both our heads that we replaced this thing. But we've spent the better part of a year since trying to figure out what was wrong with the machine and why we could not get the tension right. Ever. My wife basically gave up on the machine.Finally, I coaxed her to go to the dealer and see what we might be doing wrong. We went over all sorts of stuff, but when she said "have you ever dropped your bobbin case" bells went off in my head that we replaced it. And I said oh yeah we replaced it with one from Amazon. That might be it.Sure enough, genuine HQ cases cost three times as much and they insist that you don't use any other case. Snapped up a case from the dealer and lo and behold, our problems disappeared.Long story longer, these are not made by or are for HQ long arms. Don't buy unless you want problems. Shame on the dealer for advertising this as such. Hopefully who ever reviews these reviews will see this and do something about it, but until then you've been warned.

I had an old bobbin causing tension issues. I got this bobbin case and it worked like a charm! It works great with my handiquilter sweet sixteen. I no longer have tension issues.
