I bought this because I wanted to preserve more of the produce I buy and to have jerky and fruit snacks on hand without constant grocery runs. The idea of even drying from a rear mounted fan and not having to rotate the shelves sounded right, and the clear door window helps me monitor progress without opening the unit. Using it is straightforward. I set the temperature, drop in slices of beef or apples, and start the timer. When it finishes it shuts off automatically and the keep warm feature is handy if a bit of time passes before I get to it. What stood out most is how evenly it dries across all seven stainless steel trays, and the option to use regular and mesh trays along with fruit leather sheets for rolls. Cleanup is easy too since the trays are dishwasher safe and the housing wipes clean. One small note is the size it takes up on the counter and the need to plan batch sizes to fill the seven trays. Overall, it feels like a dependable, well made dehydrator that delivers consistent results and makes home drying practical.

Love this dehydrator...this was a Christmas gift and sooo much better than the round plastic dehydrator I was used too. So far I’ve done about five batches including pineapples, apple, jerky basil, and dill herbs. PROS 1. With 10 trays- 7 stainless steal, 2 solid "jelly pans" for fruit leather and plastic grate for smaller chucks- this unit packs a lot in a great capacity. The trays are solidly made, are easy to slide in and out and adjust for size quantities. 2. It takes up little counter space and is esthetic pleasing in stainless steel-which mean it can stay on the counter and it will get used more, instead of going into the basement and forgotten about. 3. It's very quite for a dehydrator. The fan circulates the air more and dries the food more uniformly. I don't find myself shifting trays around like I have with the cheap plastic versions. 4. The control panel is easy to use with the push of a button. It's nice to be able to adjust the temps up/down as needed...including the fast and raw settings. 5. I'm new to dehydrating (been canning), but this is VERY user friendly, solidly built. I find myself looking around to see what I dehydrate next. CONS 1. I wish the cord was a little longer, I needed to strategically place it cause the cord is only a few feet long. I'm looking forward to making my own trail mix, more jerky and drying the herbs and mushrooms from our garden next summer!

A nice dehydrator for flat food, not much room between shelves for thicker vegetables. Smaller than expected, but it does dehydrate well. Fan aids in quicker dehydrating, quieter than some other dehydrators. I use it but probably wouldn't order this style again.

I have used this twice now; once for beef jerky and once for pineapple rings. Both were easy and a success! The unit is compact in size but does the job quickly. I wish the recipe book came with more.

I bought this with the intention of making beef jerky for Christmas presents for the guys in my family. Previously I have using the kitchen oven which does an okay job but really doesn’t offer the lower temperature needed for the task. This unit is easy to program, fits nicely on my counter, runs quietly and the stainless steel cleans up with a damp sponge. The seven racks offer plenty of space for a couple of pounds of meat at a time. It might cost a tad more the the round plastic dehydrators but I think it’s well worth it for more efficient production Good product, good price

I had a whole bunch of serrano peppers in the freezer that were taking up a lot of space. I decided to give dehydrating a shot. After putting them in the refrigerator for a couple of days to thaw, I split them in half and put them on the racks and let it do its thing. It did great, but I gave the next batch a full 12 hours and that was perfect. I reduced all those bags of peppers to a fraction of their original size and I love that the peppers can keep for a long time. I don't know how to compare this dehydrator to others, but it is excellent for what I have used it for. I have only used it a few times, but so far it is excellent.
