Effective: we used these bike locks on 3 bikes & a variety of public racks in Hilton Head (we had a bike stolen there before) and Savannah. The size was perfect to capture only the frame and the rack. We had no trouble getting it to fit. Apparently, the smaller size makes it more resistant to a prybar attack.Storage: the included mount did not fit any of our bikes, but it fit nicely at the front of the frame (see pic). Alternately, we strapped to the rear trail rack.Cable: the cable is actually nice, but it is not intended to be the primary security point. The idea is to lock the Ulock to the frame/rack, and then also loop the cable through the tires as a secondary precaution.Keys: each lock includes 3 keys. I accidentally bent one key easily when it wasn't inserted fully. Normally, if you insert the key fully, it turns easily.Cover: the silicone cover is a nice feature. One got misaligned & was a bit tricky to get repositioned. Also, there is no cover for the keyway like the Kryptoloks.Overall I like these slightly better than the Kryptolok series 2 for the size, price, & because it locks on both sides. The Kryptolok has the slide keyway cover, a sturdier key with replacements available, and the name brand recognition as a deterrent factor.

This is a really sturdy bike lock but it is really small so it fits best of bikes with skinnier frames. I wouldn't use it on a mountain bike frame because it won't fit very comfortable and you might have to fight to get it on and off. I let a friend borrow the cable lock while their bike lock was shipping and someone cut right through it and took the bike so I wouldn't use that, but the U lock itself is very reliable

I took a leap ordering this, because at the time of purchase very little info was available on the products dimensions.As such, it didn't work for my girlfriend as a main lock, too small for many circumstances.That being said, they have rectified the issue and provided detailed dimensions in the product page.And I have ended up making good use of this as a backup lock to lock my second wheel to the frame.The product itself is small but sturdy, no issues with mechanism whatsoever.It is however relatively heavy and the rubber coating has started to crack where it receives most contact.Despite those minor gripes, it does the important job, locking, quite well.

This is the thickest, strongest, lock I have ever seen. It is covered with a durable but soft to the touch rubber sleeve to protect the finish of anything it is attached to. I did not expect to to be as robust as it is and I am delighted. I bought it to protect my Ecotech Electric bike and I have NO FEAR it is more than up to the job. If you are looking for something that is almost indestructible, this is it. It includes a very thick and string cable too, and a mounting bracket to attach it to your bike. Seriously recommended ... The BEST BIKE LOCK I have ever seen.

The lock itself is a very high quality; nothing will happen to it. My problem is with the cable and the actual size of the lock. The lock is tiny and its nearly impossible to find anything it'll around in order to secure your bike. The cable feels nice to handle but who's looking for a comfortable security cable? We need a durable one that can't be cut easily. I guess we'll see how this one works out. The 3 keys are really nice as a good plus though.

U-lock is fine, however the cable is trash. Mine was cut today. Luckily I had a secondary cable lock on my bike which may have forced the thief to give up but I definitely question the integrity of the this cable.Spend the money on a sturdy u-lock. Cables aren’t worth it.

This is a great bike lock. The rubber get cracked and cut easy for some reason. This lock works great on smaller polls and such but I can't latch on to ones bigger than 2 in pipe period. The nice advantage this might give a person is that it would be hard for a person to cut the lock because it fits so close to the frame. It's nice and sturdy, with limited warranty offered, three keys, a cable, and a plastic holder. It works great for me.

The key fits no matter which orientation. This is great for convenience, especially in cold whether when using gloves. The size of the lock is ideal for locking the bike, as well as storage. I am able to wrap the lock around my seat post. It rests on my chain stays and does not move or rattle while I ride. I did not use the included mount. The rubberized coating means that while I ride, the lock does not make noise or destroy my paint. Also I could not find a better deal for a similar sized lock.
