The best stylus hands down!
Been depressed since last week because I lost my elago Slim stylus (it was my last backup, too), and I've had to use my finger to navigate and type since then -- hate that, because my finger-typing is slow going and rife with errors -- so I'm here to buy more of these wonderful styli to keep on hand and to share. In my experience of over a year, these never wear out; I just lose them eventually, since I use them everywhere I go, all day, everyday. I've never had to use the replacement tip, even. When I first tried out a whole bunch of styli to see which I'd like best, I tried about seven or eight different brands/types in one go (thick/thin, fat crayon style, hex/smooth barrel, pen combos, the ball-bearing artist's rotating tip... a variety of brands), and this elago Slim won out easily. It's the only one I buy now. I like that it's slim (like a slightly fat pen), with no hook thing on the end to get in the way -- that was the main characteristic I couldn't stand in other styli. This one's also tall enough not to feel stubby in your hand, and it's weighted nicely. Feels substantial, not cheap. I don't mind that it rolls around on tables minus the clip b/c I also find the faceted hex feature of designs that prevent tabletop movement to be uncomfortable when gripped, and I'll be holding/using it more than I'll be needing it wait on call nearby, anyway. More good stuff: the tip is consistently responsive and doesn't break over time, not even if you use it on an iPad in harsh ways where you might be stabbing at the screen quickly during tense game play, for instance. Of the colors, I like the silver one best, since it looks classy with my iPad and iPhone. The barrel metal is slightly textured which I thought would bug me but does not. I have no trouble using the Slim for typing on my iPhone, even though the tip is not one of those skinny pen-point ends. I like the bounce of the rubber tip (it depresses slightly with a bit of give when you use it); somehow this works better for me than the tips that are really firm -- it seems like my devices receive the touch-stim better with this kind of tip, even though logic would seem to dictate the opposite. What else to say...? The only improvement I can imagine is if there were a seamless cap on the end that I could use to protect the tip when I throw it in my bag. Nothing has happened to the tip yet, but that would be my only wish. Love the elago Slim. Glad Amazon carries it on Prime.

Long Hours of Work Without Getting Fatigued!
I've never used something like this before but I'm glad I came across this beautiful piece. To be honest, I've always been skeptical about this kind of products. I mean, why not just using your fingers to type or do stuff on your iPad or tablets? After spending long hours on my iPad I noticed that my hand was getting really fatigued. After that I picked up the elago Stylus and I kept on working in a different type of way and after this I was pretty convinced that I made the right choice for getting the elago Stylus. What I love the most about this product it's the quality. I've ordered a few items from elago and the quality it's perfect. Made of solid aluminum, the stylus feel really sturdy in your hand. Another great feature about the stylus is it's replaceable tip. Even though I've been testing the tip and I don't think I'm going to need to replace it at all. The stylus is around 4.8 inches in length and feels just like grabbing a pencil. It's super sensitive so you don't have to push hard on your tablet or smartphone at all. Pros: - Stylish and functional - Minimal branding. - Replaceable tip. elago Stylus Replaceable Tip only (For Slim/Grip/Rustic/Hexa) - Solid material. - Works on smartphones, tablets, trackpads, mostly everything! Cons: - None so far. I had to get this because of my fingers getting fatigued after long hours of work. The stylus works great and I love the built quality it has. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone! You'll enjoy using your tablet or smarthphone more with elago's Stylus than with your fingers. With all that said, I'm very happy with this product. I'm glad I chose this over any other product because it's PERFECT! All opinions on this review about the product are based solely on my own experience with it. If you have any more questions about this product, please don't hesitate on asking me and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. I hope you enjoy your purchase!

A nicely done stylus if you like the features.
I ultimately returned this stylus, but mostly for personal preference. Ultimately it is a nicely designed and engineered item. I found it too slim, too slippery, and too light. 'Slim' is in the name, so if you want slim it may be perfect for you. It is also very light being a hollow tube of aluminum. I tended to like the weight of a stylus some describe as 'too heavy'. The textured anodized finish on this item is very nicely done, but I found it too slippery for my taste. In reading reviews of several styluses (styli?, stylipeople?...), these are important characteristics that make people love or hate a particular stylus. I did notice it did not work super well when I first opened it, but I find a stylus needs some break in time to soften up the tip. It will also, as other reviewers noted, roll off your desk. But it is a round cylinder with out a pocket clip. It is not a fault of this stylus, but a characteristic of being round without a stupid clip on the end. If that is the type of shape you want in a stylus, be aware it may roll of your desk sometimes. If you can't cope with that, try a different shape. The only thing I was not sure worked or would work was the replaceable tip. It is a great idea, especially including an extra--but $4 for a replacement on a $13 item seems steep and probably not worth it. The problem I noticed was I couldn't unscrew the installed tip. Maybe it would be easier if it were ripped, such as having a screw head underneath to use a screwdriver. But then how would I install the new one tight enough to stay in. Would it vibrate out in a purse or bag? Would I just keep compulsively threading it in and out? This issue can't be a deal breaker as the installed tip is very tight and it's the only one to included a replacement, but it may not be an asset. While I didn't like it myself, it was a nice stylus and would be perfect for others who want a slim, light, quality, beautifully machined and finished stylus.

Smooth, accurate writing with a mind of its own when it comes to rolling!
This is the 4th stylus I've purchased in recent years for use with my 3rd generation iPad. It's main use has been for note taking in college courses, which require a good measure of precision and touch. After owning the similar Rocketfish iPad tablet Stylus RF-BSTLY and very unique ( Adonit Jot Pro Fine Point Stylus for iPad, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPhone, & Kindle Fire - Gun Metal , I've found this to be a great balance of value and utility. For reference, The Rocketfish feels similar to the Elago, but with a less premium touch to it, and a barrel that's too short for comfort. The Adonit is a premium quality stylus that tends to lose it's disk (writing surface) when dropped and requires a small learning curve to use. For the price, I prefer the Elago over all of them. The tip: The rubber tip is firm enough to provide some tactile feedback while writing, but soft enough to make for a smooth, soundless flow across my device. There is no audible "squeak" as you run the stylus across the screen, which some models seem to tend towards. It's held up very well after 3 months of use, and I don't see needing to bust out the second tip any time soon. Accuracy: Surprisingly good for a rubber-tipped stylus, and only rarely do I find myself erasing a stray mark. Comfort: The weight and balance make for a controlled writing experience, with an adequate length to appropriately grip the thing. Downside: My only complaint about the Elago Slim is its complete circumferential roundness. That is to say that when you set it down, it rolls willy nilly. In future models, I'd like to see a clip or something attached to it to prevent it from so fiercely trying to escape my clutches.

Most Durable Yet
I have bought numerous stylus pens through the years, including some that come with a lot of extra tips. I have been using this stylus for several months and the original tip is still working like new. It is far better quality than all others so far. The ones that come with extra tips need them because they don’t last long. The barrels look great, but it’s the tips that make the difference. I will buy this again when needed, but all I ever anticipate needing is another tip after the included spare wears out. I use the stylus several hours weekly. It is round and does roll, so if that is a problem, I suggest you get the model they make that is designed not to roll.

Perfect!
This thing is high quality! I was worried it would be like all the other cheap multi-copy styluses I've found on Amazon and the gas station and the drug store. Nope! It's weighted perfectly and feels like a real tool. The aluminum is textured and the body is sleek and minimal, just like the description says. I hate when styluses have that extra loop thing at the top, an ear jack dongle, or 3 other hidden tools. I have an iPad and an iPod. I write on them while listening to lectures or music. Why do I need a pen in my stylus?? I already have one in my bookbag with my paper notebook. Anyway, the packaging isn't cheap eather! It took a moment to get the product out of the box. This is a package I imagine if it were in a store, the store owners wouldn't be too happy about it being stolen, so the extra quality there makes sense. Very glad it comes with a spare tip too. The delivery time was maybe a week? In summary, I am VERY pleased with this purchase. I would recommend this seller, brand, and product to anyone looking for just a stylus. Cut the nonsense. You'll be happy with this one.

HIGH QUALITY STYLUS!
I am extremely happy with this stylus! It is high quality and definitely worth the price! I use it with my iPhone and iPad and it works very well. It is very accurate (more so than my fat fingers!). It is longer than the cheaper stylus which I love plus it has a grip that is easy to hold on to. It is not slick and shiny which would make it easy to slip from your hand. I also appreciate the extra rubber tip which will make the stylus last a lot longer. Plus I can order additional tips and still hang on to the original stylus which I love! I have the slim stylus but will be ordering the other fatter one in the future just for variety. I definitely will continue to purchase Elago products in the future since I can trust the quality I will get from them.

Not as good as other styli for soft writers
This review is based on use with the new iPad (iPad 3.) If you prefer to brush the surface of the iPad with writing or touch this stylus is not for you. The tip is quite squishy, squishier than others I've tried, but your touch has to be firm in order for contact to be picked up. Even at an angle, if the rubber squishy part is just touching the screen, it's not guaranteed that the touch is picked up, you have to press a little harder and deform the tip. Deforming the tip adds more contact area, but also provides more glide resistance. If you're a hard writer with pen/pencil then touch pickup won't be an issue for you. Since the AluPen is one of the most highly rated styli, I'll compare it to that. The AluPen tip is much less squishy than the elago Slim, and also effectively picks up contact if you just brush the screen without pressing hard. The AluPen tip glides better on the screen as well, even compared to when the elago Slim is just barely in contact with the iPad screen. If only it didn't look like a child's crayon, and had a replaceable tip, it would beat the elago Slim 10x over. If you want precision, the Jot Pro is where you need to go, unfortunately it can be noisy if you're a hard writer since the tip is hard plastic (but also replaceable like the elago Slim). When my touch needs to be as quiet as possible, I use the AluPen, otherwise I go for the Jot Pro. I'd give it two stars for my personal experience, but it does have replaceable tip, it's very slim (slimmer than a #2 pencil), and I'm certain the Slim won't annoy 'hard' writers as much as it annoys me. Also, it's made in Korea, if that matters to you for some reason, and the tips do look well made (the metal part of the tip that contacts the body is brass, and even has an o-ring to provide some hold and seal out debris from getting inside the stylus.)

Best stylus for any application.
I’ve tried 1/2 dozen other types of stylus on my iPad. It works well on my iPhone and my wife’s PC. In fact it works on any touch screen. These by far the best stylus I’ve ever used. I’ve since bought few more. Like any stylus, it’s easy to lose or misplace, so keep track of it. You’ll definitely miss it once it’s gone.
