Q: are there install instructions?

My lift arm came without instructions, but it's not a complex task. The fan shroud is held in place by a few screws. Undo a couple of wires. Remove the old lift arm and install the new one. Main complication is a crickey neck.

Q: How long is arm, from what point to what point?? What is measurement of mounting holes cc? These products need a spec chart to help chose!?

There's only two arms, one for the flat vent and one for the domed.

I bought it for a 12 inch skylight and fan… so I think a 14 inch would be bigger. It fit the 12 inch perfect.

Q: Will this fit model 4000R dated 03/12?

Not sure about your particular model but I’d guess these are all pretty much the same.
