Chickpea Butter Spread - Creamy (12 Oz)

The Amazing Chickpea butter IS “amazing”. I plan to order more.

I've tried a few other chickpea-butters and, by far, like The Amazing Chickpea brand the best. Personally, it isn't that important to me that it taste exactly peanut butter, as I don't eat peanut butter. What I appreciate about The Amazing Chickpea is its balance of nuttiness, saltiness, and sweetness (without tons of sodium or sugar. And no cholesterol!) It is definitely not overwhelmingly chickpea-flavored. The creamy version is extremely smooth and spreadable. Honestly, I eat it right out of the jar.Also, there was a slight mistake in an order I made, and their customer service rectified it right away. So very nice to have responsive, thoughtful customer service. Definitely recommend!

The texture feels stickier than peanut butter, and if you just eat a spoonful of this, you will know it's not PB. Once you put it on something like graham crackers or apples it tastes better. I've tried soy butter, sunflower butter, and pea butter, and I like this best. I don't love the aftertaste though.They do call out on the listing and on the container that the product is processed in a facility that processes nuts, but I'm sure it would be more popular if they could make this in a plant that does not process nuts.

When I opened the package they had busted in shipping. Despite paying $10 in shipping Amazon won't refund my money. I reached out to the seller with these pictures and never heard back. I love this butter but very disappointed by this situation.

My issue is limiting Oxalates due to kidney stones. All nut butters are off my food list as being HIGH in oxalates.Chickpeas are moderate in oxalates.I have sooo missed PB&J. I have tried a number of substitutes, but none have come close to the taste/texture. Though the golden peabutter was lower oxalate, less calories and fat - it was too sweet to win the "aahhh" factorThis is a great substitute. It is a little looser than Skippy, but it melts very well on toasted English muffins and totally wins the "aahhh" factor. I have allowed my self the luxury of PB&J each morning this week. I have already order my 2&3rd jar.Oh, yes, I would recommend it to friends.

Chickpea butter? I didn't know whether I would like it, and I still don't. The butter tastes oddly sweet, not as sweet as Nutella . The ingredients shot out two stars. It contains both olive and palm oils, plus sugar and sunflower seeds. I will finish this jar, but this is the last amazing jar.

I first tried The Amazing Chickpea products at a farmers market in Minneapolis. As someone who developed a nut allergy relatively late in life, I was thrilled to find products that tasted just like peanut butter and Nutella but were entirely allergy-friendly. (But I think you'll find them tasty even if you don't have nut allergies!) I've bought these products a couple of times now, and they're great to use in quick snacks. (I'll add that they don't taste like hummus -- since the chickpeas are roasted first, the spreads have a much "nuttier" taste than hummus .) I've had no problems ordering these products or with delivery. I'll also add that I met Sunil in person at the farmers market, and he's the nicest guy and also very responsive to questions. I'm definitely a fan :)
