Salomon Men's Alphacross 5 Gore-TEX Trail Running Shoes

Great for son who works as grounds crew on a golf course. Fit, durability, comfort and waterproof needs all met. Will buy again.

My go too low top hiking/fishing shoes. Tread digs into lose footing well, breathable and comfortable.

This is my second pair of Salom shoes and I found them because I have medium width feet bording on narrow if that makes sense. First pair was mid-height hiking boot and fits me great. So I have the Alpha a try instead of buying a new running shoe in to walk. Running shoes don't do well in water.These might fit better then my first pair. No heel slip at all. Walked dog 1.5 miles on sidewalk and they were perfect comfort wise. Not quite as light as a running shoe but close for a walker.This will be my shoe on my European vacation this fall. An all day walker that is ready for rain. This appears to me a perfect shoe for a 4 hour hike as well.If I had a wide foot, I would seek a wide version of these or look at something else.

Chemical smell eventually dissipated the left shoe squeaks, size runs a bit long and narrow. Great water proofing. Funny extra treads at the toe.Overall happy just some irks.

I've been using the Alphacross 5 for years now. They last a reasonable amount of time for my 2.5 mile hybrid walks that are 3-5 times a week. Usually need to replace them after about a year or thereabouts.Good value if you can get them under $100 or on sale. I like the style, form, and fit. I'm a size 9.5 and it fits perfectly.I use after market arch support however. Super Feet for an extra $50 to help my flat foot issues the arise like plantar fasciitis. Great shoe.

Stylish, lightweight and waterproof. I bit too warm for warm climates, but fi the bill on torrential rain

I ordered these shoes in size 6 and they are way too big. Fits a size 7. Make sure to try them on as soon as you get them so you can get the correct size. Quality isn’t very good compared to my other Salomon shoes either.
