Hello fellow anglers,I bought this net for my kayak in April, as I wanted something that was more gentle landing fish. Most of the fish that I catch are crappie, so this net hadn't been needed until I landed a small 2lb catfish that completely mangled the rubber mesh netting. It's the one and only time that I ever got to use it.I contacted Ego customer service as the Amazon return window had passed to see if there was anything that they could do for me. The first representative was nice and asked if I could send a copy of the invoice and photos of the damaged net, in which I did. I received a phone call the next day, and another representative stated that "if what I was stating was true" ( as if I would take the time to lie about something like this) that all they could offer was 40% off of a replacement net, which would cost me only $16 with shipping and handling. I declined and explained that I did not see the point in investing more money into something that failed during first use, and I've only owned for a few weeks. She explained that anglers usually replace the nets annually due to them tearing. I was taken back as these nets can reach upward to $200 and needed yearly replacement.In short, I tried Ego as a new customer and they simply do not stand by their overpriced product. I will go back to my inexpensive nylon net that has lasted years without fail. I should have known better, If something isn't broke, don't fix it.Save your money and spend it elsewhere. If you're dead set on rubber mesh, try a different brand. Not this one. I wish I had more hands, so I can give it more than two thumbs down. 👎👎Happy fishing and good luck!- Sad Angler

Good net for Steelhead fishing up in Erie Pa. Nice feel to it when landing fish. Bungee cord and spring clip are useless though. I put a eye screw in the base of the handle put two swivel eye trigger snaps on better quality bungee cord and connected to the rear top of my vest , more accessible and yet out of the way and don't have to worry about the bungee coming apart or off the handle.

I love the size and quality of this net. It's convenient to use while kayak fishing and the quality seems to be really good. I expect to use it for a long time.

Net is great for retrieving the fish, until you catch one and it falls in the water amongst the fury of the fight. It DOES NOT float like the ad says. Sunk like a rock straight to the bottom. Bought it for the reason it said “It Floats”. I might buy another one for the quality, but the seller needs to take off the part, “It Floats.” Thats a lie.

Haven't had a chance to net any thing yet, but i don't think it's the fault of the net. lol . Otherwise, very pleased with it.

Great size for wade fishing. Lays perfectly flat on the water and the grips are not slippery when wet. Great product!

The name listed for the net and pictures are misleading and incorrect. The net is the S1 genesis, not the s1 slider. The pole is 18” and cannot be replaced although the pictures listed show the handle unscrews and slides.
