Picked this up for my niece, who loved it immediately. But not nearly as much as my sister and cousin, who spent countless hours playing with this as kids. This is perfect if you have someone that loves Barbie and all those typical "girly" dress-up toys and things, but you really don't want to keep filling the house with all that stuff. This lets them pick out the styles and outfits they want and color them however they want. They get to be their own little fashion designer. Seems to be strong plastic, is easy to use (no supervision), has it's own travel case, and is perfect for anyone young who can draw and color well right up through adults. Seriously, anyone who likes playing with fashion or dress-up would probably enjoy this.

My youngest granddaughter loved this travel set. Kept her busy for hours in the car.

I gave this as a birthday gift to a 1st grader in May. It’s almost July and she is still playing with it almost daily. The case makes a huge difference; as all the pieces have a place to be when not in use.

This was great for my daughter who loves barbies, princesses, fashion, and simple crafts. I had the original version 40 years ago and this one is fairly comparable. Obviously it is flimsier and lighter-weight than the older styles as all toys these days are, but it’s functional and it seems the images appear with a bit more ease than the older version. It does leave streaks and smudges on the paper, but my daughter doesn’t care.The main reason I’m reviewing is because SO many people mentioned that the carrying case doesn’t hold the set securely. That simply isn’t true in my experience. The box clearly shows how to pack it all in the case properly, and when I did that, no problems at all! As you can see in the pics I included, it all fits and when suspending it in mid-air, everything stays securely.Would definitely purchase again!

An artsy little girl was very happy with this set of fashion plates. She knew how to use it right away! I like the storage option, it was a huge reason in choosing this particular set! Great value for the money. Hours of fun playtime!

This is just like the ones I had as a kid! There are several plates with just faces, several with face and upper torso, and more with just the bottom half with pants, skirts, shorts, etc. and shoes. The backs of each have the material patterns on them. It's still a little bit more mature for my 6 year old granddaughter, but she had fun coloring them. She isn't at the fashionista stage yet. Comes with the frame to hold the plates, 2 black rubbing crayons and holder, a small pack of colored pencils, some paper, and a case that folds up and holds it all. Very well made.

These are a great toy for kids to share. I purchased for two nieces - ages 5 and 8. They both played independently. Will quickly need backup paper and maybe a second set of pencils for sharing. 100% recommend!
