Silly Scratch Off Adventures!
Very cute and easy to get the items needed for these challenges. We especially loved the one with the shaving cream Santa beards! We didnโt even finish the book but can continue to use it next year!

Fun way to foster your relationship.
This product was loads of fun and had us doing things that we would not have thought of on our own. Brought us closer together while having a great time together. Easy to scratch off and go!

Great Advent Calendar Gift Giving Idea!
This is a perfect gift for family exchange of small dollar items! The adventure calendar has "doable" tasks and activities. We gave it in our annual advent calendar gift exchange and was well received. Easy fun ideas for family members to work on together. We hope they produce a new one with different activities for next year!

Fun, but best for families with children
My family completed this this year. We only have a two year old and many of the activities were just a little too big for her and too child focused for just me and my husband. But it was still fun and helped us make new Christmas traditions and memories. I would buy again, but only because I have a young child.

Only works for specific families
Unfortunately you can't judge an advent calendar without using it. I certainly regret buying this. The first activity was great but the rest require a specific type of living style. Many of them involve buying lists of items which is hard during the winter season with iced roads. Many of them are only fun with kids and family. We are a couple so we couldn't do most of the activities. This calendar only works for a middle class suburban family who live surrounded by decorated houses. This should have been listed in the details.

A little acetone/nail polish remover safely reveals the challenge!
The start date for the 12 challenges is December 14th. My family & I decided to instead begin today, December 1, & reveal a challenge every other day through December 23. My husband & I have 3 children, ages 16, 13, & 10. The first challenge is a cute idea appropriate for our entire family that incurs no additional cost, consumes a very reasonable amount of time, & is to be completed at home. We're excited for challenges to come. I read the following helpful suggestion on another review that I think is more than worthwhile to share: For those concerned about potentially damaging the underlying text during scratchoff, a little acetone/fingernail polish on a cottonball or tissue works GREAT for EASY removal & causes no damage!

My Family Loves This.
Okay, so I am not one to write many reviews but I have to say that my family and I love this. I have 3 children at home ages 11,13, and 17 and they are excited every morning to scratch off the days adventure. These are all simple, and some (not many at all) are a little messy but if you have kids these little adventures are great. Also, super easy to combine your elf with some of the adventures if you run out of ideas which I frequently do. We loved this so much that I just bought the family version of this as well.

Expensive Challenges for 2023
Loved this challenge last year (2022)! I bought it for my roommate and I to complete during the holiday season. It was marketed for families, but we were able to easily adapt the challenges, recruiting some of our friends to help with one of the games. We had a blast and decided to buy it again the next year. This year (2023), each challenge involves going out and spending money. I can understand one or two, but I have spent an average of 25 dollars each day so far, and I'm only halfway through! I hope the next version has a little more thought put into the challenges to make them doable at home with supplies easily found around the house. [Edit] After revealing the rest of the challenges, I am very disappointed. Two of the challenges are identical to the previous year's calendar with just a re-ordering of the words and phrases. The challenges continued to require going out to buy supplies, making the average about $20 per task/day for the calendar, meaning this product required over $240 after purchase for two people to fully complete. My roommate and I had to split these additional costs. Some of the tasks felt out of order, such as going out to buy new christmas pajamas a couple days after needing matching pajamas for a task. Another example is the ornament hunt (repeated from last year), which was one of the last days. As a result of the poor quality in this year's challenge book, I refuse to buy it again unless there are assurances that nearly all tasks can be completed using everyday household items and that the challenges are all brand new from previous years. I don't think this will happen, so my roommate and I created our own advent tasks for next year, all packaged up nicely with some extra supplies we got from post-Christmas discounts and a jar full of tasks to pull from. I highly recommend to try the 2022 version of this calendar (Version 2, I think) if you have never tried it before, but skip the 2023 version and create your own if you want it to become a holiday tradition!
