I will update my review after I see how the supplement impacts my pet. I really liked how their were easy instructions in the side of the container based on the weight of our dog. I would like to know suggested serving. Should I mix with water and pour over the food or just mix in to soft food. I actually sprinkled the first amount over our dog's food and she started to lick it up which surprised me.

My sister swears by SAMe for her cat who had a heart condition (I don't remember what the condition was, but it's very rare and his case was studied by UPenn Vet). She was told that her kitten would live about 9 months - he lived 10 years! She was all about foods as medicine and one of the supplements she gave her cat was SAMe. When I saw this powdered SAMe for dogs, I had to try it for my 5.5 year old golden retriever. The life span of goldens has been reduced over that last 30-50 years and some researchers think it's because of mass produced dog food. My last golden only lived 8 years, so for this one I'm trying everything I can to help him live longer. While I don't make my own dog food or feed raw, I do feed him a dog food geared to goldens that my vet recommended. And I also add natural, high quality supplements like this SAMe.My dog doesn't mind the taste, which is a big factor because he's a picky eater (strange for a golden, I know). My only issue is the cost. It's expensive and for a 65 lb dog, I go through a container very quickly. I wish that (1) it was less expensive and (2) that it came in a bigger container.

I wanted to try this product as it is half the price as the other liver supplement I was buying for my dog. This has been a great alternative! My dog eats it right up and I can tell it’s doing it’s job & giving my boy more energy. He loves when I mix it in with a scrambled egg on top of his food!

My buddy is at risk for liver problems so I'm eager to see if this solves his enzyme issues. He already loves salmon so it was no surprise that he ate his this (on his food) right up.

It’s somewhat unclear if this has had a positive impact on my senior dog’s energy levels, if it’s due to a combination of supplements, or if it’s coincidental.The two dogs I’ve given this to, gobble it right up, sprinkled over their dry food.I gave this to three separate cats and each one of them turned up their nose at it.It’s a reasonable price and if there’s even a chance it’s helping, I’m going to continue feeding it to my dogs.
