I use these hinges to secure my oversized mailbox on a 4 foot long, 4 by 4. My mailbox was getting hit constantly - on average, once a year - so I relocated it approximately 4 feet from the road and used these hinges to allow the mailbox to swing out of the way on impact. An oversized gate spring, opposite the hinges, keeps the mailbox positioned properly. It’s been several months now and the hinges have sagged one bit. Good heavy construction with proper mounting screws to match.

We needed to replace gate hinges (on wood gate to backyard/handicap ramp) but couldn’t find same online so purchased these to try. My husband and son took minutes to put into these new hinges. When I asked how it worked they said great and may even hold up better because they are so heavy duty!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: My Keter plastic shed door hinges got brittle after almost 20 years. After trying various repair methods, I decided to just use metal hinges and install them by drilling straight through the door and sidewall. The doors swing easily now. Even better than the original.
