New to self tanners. I wanted a safer, kinder to skin option, that didn't stain. This ticked all the boxes. Being naturally pale, I just wanted an improvement to my confidence. And an easy glow. Something that is more natural looking. The "Darkest" is perfect to achieve this. Despite having no guide color, I've found this product incredibly easy to use. I'd definitely recommend a tanning glove, back tanner applicator, and a tanning brush for face, hands and feet, for the most natural finish. Give the product at least six hours to develop before showing, etc. The skin is left feeling hydrated, and refreshed. Around the three hour mark, the color starts to develop. Limited "Tanning smell" during processing, nose close to detect the faintest smell. Otherwise, it's a pleasant fragrance. The color fades pretty evenly. If you shower every day, it's a twice weekly application. And it's easy to get used to applying. I definitely recommend. I am always very pleased with the results.

Holy moly there is a learning curve with this gel, omg. I am a mixed Mediterranean woman with some English blood that all seems to live in my legs. They are blindingly white, always, so I use self tanner on them to make them match the rest of me. I applied this at night after a shower and shave. Used the cloth mitten thingie to apply it and it felt like I had done the deed correctly. Whelp. It is certainly as "bronzage très intense" as it says lol, and there is a bit of a learning curve, apparently, compared to the mousse product I had been using (and which had increased in price, sending me for an alternative). I woke up the next morning and was so surprised at how dark my legs were. Wow. Way more effective than my previous product. But, I also had a white knee, a streak all the way down my shin, and a dark orange blob on my toe. This is my own fault, of course, for not having a handle on how to apply a gel product, but the other thing I discovered is how long this product LASTS. Many self-tanning are pretty easy to scrub down to enough of a fade to reapply and even out any inconsistencies but five days later, daily exfoliation and a couple of shaves (Mediterranean woman, remember?) and I am still dark brown and I can still see that line. I did try to apply more on the parts I missed to balance it all out didn't work. I guess I just have to wait for this to fade entirely and try again lol... So, all I am saying is that this stuff is hella effective - just be REALLY careful and thorough in your application. Definitely don't apply this for the first time in preparation for something - get used to the product first and it will be one of the best and longest-lasting self tanners you have ever used.
