Think these would be ok as cake decorations? Worried about the safety of the plastic

I really can't say, I used them to stop birds nesting on my downspouts :)However, being plastic, if you washed them well beforehand and didn't leave them on the cake for hours, I don't see where much of anything could leach out into the cake.

Hey Happy Aunt, No not completely soft rubber. They are made up of a harder rubber like material. They keep their shape though, and bend pretty easily.

Manufacturer: are these made from natural or synthetic rubber? If synthetic, what type?

Snakes are synthetic and I have no idea which synthetic.
