had problems activating DEX on s9
Sometimes DEX would kick in on my monitor, other times it would not. I am very tech savy and could not figure out the intermittent problems (had same issue with another style). I finally gave up and got the authentic dex pad from samsung, works like a charm.

It works. But only on certain displays
It works. But on some displays it's stretched further than the display. Even on the switches smallest setting it doesnt fit.

but they need to refine the seat for better docking. As is
Certainly “works” for Switch docking, but they need to refine the seat for better docking. As is, you need to apply a good deal of force to get your Switch on there... always a dangerous prospect with hardware.Still, it’s functional and cheaper than most options currently on the market.

Worked well for the most part with some hiccups.
This is a nice alternative to the factory docking station and it has a few nice extra features (ie. extra USB ports, audio jack). Because of the compact design you can see the screen (not that you need to but sometimes it's good to check). Three minor nuances that I found were: (1) It's very picky with USB-C adapter. If you don't use the original adapter it may/maynot work. I was able to use a stronger adapter and it worked but it won't work with the Apple adapter for the MacBook. (2) The HDMI video was a bit flaky at times (ie. it won't recognize external HDMI monitor). (3) Aligning the Switch onto the USB-C plug in the base was DIFFICULT because the base connector also moves around (ie. not fixed). Other than those 3, everything was good. To be fair, once it's all hooked up it worked very well and I like it a lot. You can also take it on the go and it took very little space.
